Yeah, that one  Now on level points with Darlington with 9 games to go. I feel like the play-offs are a given for us now but I would be disappointed not to win the league with the team we've got this season and to be first at this stage.

Squeky bum time. Just 3 games left and after a draw against the 18th place Ramsbottom we're top by goal difference. We're 9 points clear of 3rd place Darlington but they have a game in hand, however I don't expect them to catch us. We have to play Scarborough and New Mills, who are 2nd and finally Prescot Cables who are rock bottom. New Mills have Scarborough and Ramsbottom who we've just drawn to. Either way, Scarborough are going to play a massive part in the title race this season.

EDIT: Won the league with a game to spare once again. Beat Scarborough and New Mills leaving us 6 points clear with a game to go. Means we can get ready to prepare for the 7th tier and hopefully a nice wage budget to finally start bringing in players on proper contracts. It also means that, along with my Angolan veteran captain, I'm now one of the favoured personnel.

We managed to bring in a few players before we turned semi-pro which were massively useful to us in our title-winning season. From that point we couldn't offer new deals to existing players and could only bring in one player on a £20 p/week contract which ended up Burscough left-back James Joyce. Other than that we relied heavily on loans and cancelled Thurston, Moss and Millar after finding better and more suitable players. I would love to bring in a few permanently, think the fans really took to Titchener but I doubt I'll get a transfer budget next season.

After struggling early on and bringing in a few solid loanees we ended up mounting a very serious title challenge and managed to win it by a decent margin. In front of goal we were golden but defensively I think we'll have to tighten up, although that could've been down to not having a proper RB or LB for most of the season. New Mills came up with us after beating Darlington in the play-off final and my aim is a top-half finish. That was also my aim for this season so hopefully another surprise promotion in store and Blue Square football soon.

As for other competitions, we only featured in the Northern League Challenge Cup and after going through the qualifying round we were knocked out in the 2nd Round.

We had a number of players this season who were instrumental in our success. At the back Alex Kitchen was an absolute beast and we'll hopefully have a long, successful partnership with him and Boyle who are 18 and 16 respectively. In midfield, summer arrival Anthony Jeffrey added a much needed creative spark on the wing, although he has recently come out and said he wants to join a bigger club, fair play. George Evans Was a huge influence in midfield and finished the season in good goalscoring form, while Simon Richman gave us some much needed experience. Up front, for a large part of the season we relied on Alex Titchener and Leeroy Chinthengah to goo effect, but when the opportunity to bring in a player of Olly Taylor's ability came around I couldn't say no and it was Chinthengah who became a bench warmer. Like Titchener, Taylor struggled with the first few games but once he got going he was very good and chipped in with his fair share and I don't know if we'd have won the league without him.

Only got a £2k wage budget and lost my LM and both CD's so a big re-building job is on the cards. Had to bring in some shit just as suitable cover but that means that we've only got £450 left in the wage budget. Looking likely to bring in Titchener permanently after he was released and although Olly Taylor said he'd love to come back, he's asking for £1.3k and that's over 5x my maximum offer. Altrincham are in the middle of taking Evans, my Cm as well so that would leave me with no starting CD's or CM's  Praying some decent players come available for loan very soon.
