harbin you could try Deale Chamberlain? Picked him up about half-way through the season when I got promoted and he was very solid as far as this level goes.

EDIT: After a seemingly good start we've once again struck inconsistency. 10 games in and we're 6th and already 8 points behind unbeaten league leaders Bacup Borough. So far our season form looks like this: WWWLWLLXLDWDL. Really starting to get pissed off, hoping to turn it round a bit before the Liverpool game.

Bacup Borough seem to be my Scarborough Athletic this season. We're 7th but have a game in hand which could take us 3rd and 2 points off 2nd, but Bacup are on 40 points and even if we win said game in hand we'd still be 13 points off the pace after 16 games. Tweaked my tactics a bit to try and stiffen our defence but we're still conceding the same we're scoring, shown by our 5 draws in 6 games (other game was a loss). I'm in limbo at the minute, don't know whether to go all out attack and try and outscore them, or just try and shore up the defence.

Went back to my older save, back to the 4-4-2 and things are going well. Won our last 8 including 2 cup wins, but my computer has just crashed and we'd destroyed Maine Road 5-1 with Declan Edwards getting 4 and had won our last 10. Still, it's mid-November, we've played 13 games and we're top by a point, that pesky Bacup Borough hot on our trails. Before the crash we'd gone 4 up so hoping we'll do the same this time.
