The Bank Balance - Exceptional Youth Facilities cost a lot of money, you will be in debt throughout this challenge until you hit the premiership. There isn't much you can do about this and you should always be able to survive.

Play Youth - This is the point of the Challenge I know but some people will play their first team for the first season with some youth players, this isn't a good idea. You need to play a full or nearly full youth XI, it is the only way that the players will develop, if they don't get played for the first few seasons then they won't develop enough to play in the higher divisions when you need them.

Facilities Downgraded - As you get further into this challenge the youth and training facilities will downgrade over time, this happens to everyone on the challenge, the only thing you can do about it is make requests to the board to have your facilities upgraded and get to the top division as quickly as possible.

Wage Bill - It is better to offload as many of the senior players as you can at the beginning to get the clubs wage bill as low as you can, this will lessen the financial impact of the youth facilities over the season

Contracts - Get all or as many of your youth players onto Part Time contracts, do not leave them on non contracts if you can help it as they can be poached by other clubs.

Autosaves - Use them, I prefer weekly but make sure you have them set to at least monthly

Regen Day - Best day of the year, You will get your new youth intake every year on March 13th. This is the only opportunity you will get to sign players on this Challenge so enjoy it.

Loans - You are not allowed loan signings on this challenge, if any are already at your club then send them back and make sure to cancel any loan signings that parent clubs try to send you.

Turning Pro - Your team will turn professional automatically just before you begin in League 2 as all league teams have to be professional.

Hiring Staff - Unlike with players you are free to sign any members of staff that you want to
