Got my front line sorted for next season, with Santry barely good enough for League 2, needed another striker with Agogo not living up to expectations last season. Midson who was just quality will keep his place and will be partnered up with Ex-Tottenham Jonathan Obika!


On a hefty wage of £2k! but with 4.5* CA, he should hopefully prove worth it. Looking to bring Joao Texieira again on loan for the full season this time also.

Mallo You have to give the tactic time and let the team get used it. They don't seem to be fully competent with it until like the end of October for me I was lucky and got the AFC Wimbledon straight away so I still had Pre-Season to do.

End of my second season led to promotion to the Championship!
For someone who had a 1.5* CA in League 1, Victor Santry was class! He's improved a shit ton! Missed about 10 games in his best form through injury which was a bit annoying but still a massive return from him! His PA has increased to a decent Championship player now also.

Playing this with Andorran, Portugal, Faroe Islands and Azerbaijan leagues loaded from the start. Plan to try and win the 'top league' in each country, then add and remove nations.

I'm actually really liking AFC Wimbledon, however seen a couple of Premier League jobs come up that I feel I could get. Wigan who have been relegated and will be coming down to the Championship (League I am in), Sunderland and Fulham. However:

After finding this forum and indeed challenge just before buying the game I decided to start my first game unemployed with Sunday League experience. Loaded Spain, Italy, Germany & England and began life with the mighty Havant and Waterlooville; a side of whom I have roots with since being part of their all conquering under-nine side as a wee bairn and indeed living a five minute walk from the ground.
The rosey tint and smells soon diminished though as we stuttered into life with the on loan Jake Reed and already part of the furniture Steve 'Rambo' Ramsey the more consistent performers; settling in a mid table berth.
It was around October that news that Chester FC parted ways with Country Rocker and manager Neil Young and with my CM01/02 head on (I'd been playing an updated version prior to getting hold of FM2013) I naively applied for the job; forgetting the eleven years of updates with board relations that have occurred since that release. Havant were irked and Chester were frothing at the mouth; so I left the Hawks and waited with fingers crossed at the prospect of joining the phoenix side. A few days later and just before I considered signing on; bang. Job offer arrived. I duly accepted and found myself with a lot more stability, maneuverability and a board demanding a title. Trouble was they were mid table, although with the quality of the squad I couldn't see why.
The signings of Vincent Pericard and Steve McNulty (loan) added strength down the spine of the team whilst Jake McCormick (on loan from Doncaster) gave an extra option in central midfield. The team picked up and the results rolled in, Clancy and Hankin providing width and options for the strike duo of Redshaw and Pericard up top. A slump in form meant a change of tact to a 4-3-1-2 and in the run up to the final game of the season we were third, two points off second placed Bradford PA and three off top placed Worcester... who were the final away game of the season. A comprehensive 3-0 win meant we'd done our bit, but Bradford breezed a 2-1 win to take top spot. Playoffs... 3-1 aggregate win over Boreham Wood set up a final with Stalybridge (which was played at home at the Deva, strange...). They took a 1-0 lead from the spot, but a McNulty header, a Gray goal and a McGinn penalty in the last twenty minutes saw a 3-1 triumph and promotion.
With the club now upgraded to a fully professional side, the signings of goalkeeper Aaron Jameson, Guy Branston, Steve McNulty on a permanent deal, Danny Harrison, Adam Reed on loan from Sunderland and Kwesi Appiah have hopefully strengthened Chester enough for a fair crack at the BSP.
I was very tempted to apply for the job at my beloved Portsmouth at the end of the season when Appleton left (they're now in the doldrums of League Two) but didn't fancy rocking the boat at Chester; Sean Dyche ended up taking over anyway.
