Is anyone here any better than me at getting up early? If so, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.
The latest I ever wake up is about 8.30-9ish. That includes weekends. I just stick on my iPod on full volume when I have to wake up really early. Loud rock music in the morning works like a charm
I don't think Mrs Ben would enjoy this too much on her lie in days.
I've been coaching my son's U5 team in the U.S.A. as he learns to play the game this season for the first time. At this age, the kids are learning the basics, and I wanted to make the point to them that kids their age around the world are learning to play the same game they are. I wrote to almost every team in Europe and the Americas to see if they were willing to send the kids some team pictures or stickers that I could hand out to the team after the game and give them a lesson about football around the world.
The response was great, but one team went WAY above and beyond the call of duty. That team was Nottingham Forest.
A couple of weeks after my email, a package arrived in the mail from England. My son and I opened it, and found a couple of Forest scarves and a set of notebooks with the Robin's Reds logo on them. To our surprise, the team had also sent a set of jerseys for the entire team! The kids were so excited to get them, and they now look like a proper football team with them on. We've gotten so much stuff from teams that after each game both teams get presents from their new-found friends on the other side of the planet.
I've thanked the team via email, but wanted to do so publicly on a Nottingham Forest fan forum. So much is made of teams being so big these days that they lose sight of their fans. I felt it was important for Forest fans to know that their club supports kids of all ages, all around the world. As my user name suggests, I'm a WBA fan. That said, I'll now follow Nottingham Forest as well. So will my son, all his friends, and their families.
