general discussion Who Will You Manage / Teams That You're Looking Forward to Managing?

For me personally three teams will stand out; Portsmouth, Rangers and Liverpool.

Liverpool mainly because they're usually the first team I begin with, and have made steps towards becoming a tiki-taka team. Would like to see if I can beat BR at getting the team gelled sooner... plus I'm intrigued to see how Allen and Henderson will play together, plus I want to see if Raheem Sterling will actually turn into a good player for me.

Other than them, Sunderland would interest me, purely because of Steven Fletcher who is such a damn good finisher at times, QPR for Junior Hoillett, and Real Madrid, but only when Mourinho get's sacked on the update because they're sat in 10th.

Portsmouth and Rangers for the obvious rebuilding project reasons, mainly because they as a team have lost pretty much all of their squad and have had to patch a new one together in about 2-3 months with near to no budget.

What about you guys?

I always start off with United for an easy save as I get used to the new game.

Some saves I'm really interested in this year are parmar1993's Youth Academy Challenge and saves with Roma, Everton and Santos.

I'll most likely do a game with my local club Gillingham and try and win everything I can with them on the way to making them the most dominant force in Europe.

I will be doing parmar1993's Youth Academy Challenge, since I've had a blast playing it since I started the challenge.

If I need to do some other saves, I think I might do a Journeyman save and see where I end up there.

Still, I wonder how the Story Forum will be this time around.

Newcastle - always first (need defenders)

Then in no particular order;

Rangers
Hibernian
Gateshead
Portsmouth
Sporting KC
Honduras
Northern Ireland
Citizen (Hong Kong)

If someone is willing to put the work in (not sure if I am), a College team in an NCAA themed database.

Like Crowy, I'll end up managing pretty much every team on the game.

I'm looking forward to managing Fulham, had a soft spot for them for some time and it'll be interesting to see how I can do without Dembele and Dempsey :<

Always start as Wednesday on the demo and then carry that over into the full game before moving on.

The usual suspects in some order are:

Queen's Park
Crewe
Red Bull Brasil
Grampus
and whatever MLS team that I choose before I get frustrated with the transfer rules and quit

I would wager that Rangers will be a hugely popular save this year because of their unique combination of squad, finances and league standing but I also am looking forward to having a game in China to link up with my old friend Anelka (CM 99/00 4evah!).

Porto - favourite save on 2012. Elgin City - fallen in love with the club through FM. Possibly Liverpool however I find it difficult settling into a game with them.

Cardiff - Think I'll be able to do big things with them this year, can't wait!
Wrexham - Maybe try and recreate what I've done with them so far in FM12
Barcelona/Madrid/City - One of the easier teams, probably my first save to get used to the game.
Dortmund - They interest me a lot, really fancy a go with them this year.
And probably a lot more saves I will start, hoping to just stick to a few early on though.
