I think it's calculated on the amount already spent (28m) in the window and the amount available to the manager now which as the dempsey thing seems to show is around 4m.

Well, I wasn't sure how these things were calculated, but if that is the case then I can start to understand why some clubs get the transfer budgets they seem to find themselves with.

It seems to be that way anyhow. Chelsea will have a smallish budget too I reckon around 10m maybe due to the amount already spent in the window but it's just guesswork.

For instance if Gill and the Glazers are to be believed then United have 100m available to spend if they wish which is utter rubbish.

Exactly just because they weren't willing to pay 6m for Dempsey doesn't mean they don't have the money or that they wouldn't have spent 10 or 20m had it been the right player to convince the owners.

Exactly so, Liverpool had 30 million quid worth of player come in this summer (which is a lot more than I expected them to spend, to be honest) and Rodgers all but said that they couldn't spend more at this time without shuttling off Carroll so that figure seems about right to me.

FM budgets are always set pretty conservatively too which, in my opinion, makes for a better and more balanced game.

I don't think it will change much to be honest, it's just a big sponsorship deal. As clubs get more money they pay the players bigger wages so nothing really changes.

Does no one read the first post?? No release date has been announced but it is expected be announced within the next two weeks.

Read the post above yours. According to the last podcast which was 2 days ago the release date should be announced around the time the next podcast is out on the 28th or as Miles put it, 'if it's not announced by then, he's in the shit'.

Edit - The Demo will be released 1 week before the game is released.
