help Was this an attempt to scam?

I wont mention any names because nothing came out of it but I posted my OPE Bat Demon for sale/trade and settled on a deal for $85. He then told me I had to send fam first and I read through some other threads and saw that almost everyone asks for the money first to avoid scams. I then told him I would need to get payment first and he said he wouldn't do it. I then recommended we use a middleman for the deal and he said 'it is the internet' and that he doesn't trust anyone even if they are trusted on this site, he then said that if I sent the fam first he would pay me $120 and I told him that we settled on $85 and that is what the deal would be either him sending money first or we use a middleman and he never replied back. Do you think this was an attempt to scam me?

Always find a trusted middle man on this site if they are unwilling dont risk your fams.

pretty certain it was an attempt to scam...never EVER let the fam go first...once gone, it is gone for good..there is nothing anyone can do about it....like the poster above me said, find a trusted trader...I traded 17 times with 10 different traders, and always sent the money first..if I can do it, so can others...

Can you share that persons name? So ppl are cautious when dealing with him.

Do not do it MONEY FIRST, otherwise assume scam

I am a seller here , sell over 1000$ so far

and i never do items or fam first

even he is a regular customer
