Trials Evolution was one of my favorite games of 2012. Let's get this straight, I love 2D motorcycle games based off of physics. It stems initially from titles like Excitebike and the like, but really dug into me with 1997's Action Supercross and then its sequel Elasto Mania. Great, classic, physics-based motorcycle games, but Trials Evolution is better and now it's finally coming to PC on March 21.
The Trials Evolution: Gold Edition will be packed full of content, including all of the tracks from both Trials: Evolution and its predecessor Trials HD. Here's a silly list with everything fans can expect out of the box:
- Global Leader Boards
- Local and Online 4-Player Multiplayer
- Robust and Powerful Track Editor
- Indoor and Outdoor environments
- Bike and Rider customizations
- More than 129 Tracks
Perhaps the biggest reason Trials Evolution didn't end up as one of my best games of 2012 was because of the limitations of the Xbox 360. The controls were a bit too smoothed out for my twitchy PC fingers, and I had a pretty abysmal time getting multiplayer to work for me. In other words, this PC release will be glorious.
Look forward to Trials Evolution: Gold Edition's release on March 21 on PC, or check the game out now on Xbox 360 where all the DLC is available too. Myself, I think I'll go download Action Supercross and Elasto Mania and waste the rest of my day away. Well, maybe later.
