At gamescom 2013 in Cologne this week, Square Enix confirmed that Sazh will be back in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. So that's pretty cool for anyone who liked the character in the first Final Fantasy XIII, if only for the cute little chocobo baby in his hair. Sazh pops up in the newest Lightning Returns trailer too, albeit somewhat briefly.
Despite being such a lovable character, Sazh is bringing some personal issues to Lightning Returns, namely a problem afflicting his son. Seems the kid's fallen into an unnatural slumber, and while he's still alive, he can't wake up.
Aside from cementing Sazh's return, the trailer also shows a good bit of gameplay footage, mostly of Lightning cutting things down with fancy moves and sound effects. Who's ever heard of quiet sword attacks?
Anyway, dig the new trailer. Amusingly, some viewers have pointed out Sazh's poor enunciation toward the end of the video, making "blasted fluffball" sound a whole lot like... something much less endearing.
