Remember Me promises to be one of the more interesting games coming out this year, thanks to its unique memory-based gameplay. In a new trailer by DONTNOD, creative director Jean Maxime-Moris goes through Remember Me's memory mechanic to show us exactly how it works.
The result is pretty similar to the butterfly effect, only you're altering outcomes by manipulating memories. An example in the video has Nilin causing a man to murder his lover, and subsequently kill himself out of remorse. That's pretty rough.
Memories, as a theme, define Remember Me. Nilin starts out having hers wiped, and she must learn to fight back against mega-corp Memorize to get them back. Sounds easy enough, right? Fortunately, she's got friends.
