General Information on MC: PotA

Hello everybody!
Since I've got the impression that most players in this forum are not Korean and would like to have some information on the story, gameplay and some difficult scenes of this game I opened this thread.
I've finally managed to finish the game but though I'm Korean I only understood about 50% of all the stuff for I've been born in Germany and so I cannot guarantee that everything is accurate. Anyway: Enjoy!
P.S.: Yeah, yeah...my English vocabulary is not quite good either

Story

Summary
The city of Shudelmir is in an unrestful state:
Monsters have appeared in alarming frequency and the
rumor that the (terrorist) group called the "Vermillion"
are involved with these matters trouble the lives of
its population.
After 10 years of service in another county Calintz re-
turns to the capital and joins the local forces known
as "Schwarz Sturm" (Black Storm) who protect the vicinity
from the ravaging monsters.
Though only painful memories are associated with this
place he returns to face his past when he meets the my-
sterious girl Adora who seems to share some memories
although they have never met before.
Gradually he is faced with his past in a way he never expected.....

General gameplay

General
You control your character via mouse by pressing the left
button and moving it around. If you want to interact with
your environment move close to it and press the space bar.

Fighting & Statistics
The blue circle around your character indicates the movement
area that your character can cover with his speed and the remaining action points which are shown in the lower right
corner (this area can be expanded by increasing your characters dexterity).
The yellow circle indicates the attack range of the selected
character. It can be increased by using certain special techniques (select by right-clicking and choosing the second option; the numbers indicate the needed action points to perform this technique).
Roffma can use the "Healing"-ability and a green circle indiates the range.
If you want to switch the targets hit Tab.
If you want to return to your starting point with full AP after moving around hit Esc.

The damage a character can inflict on the desired target depends on his/her strength.
The movement range depends on the characters dexterity.
The damage reduction can be increased by raising a characters defense.

To change the character stats enter the status bar by right-clicking (only if you are not involved in a fight) and clicking on the Status bar.

Now: All attributes can be influenced by raising the amount
of Carta a character carries on the specific attribute. By switching the different Carta types a character carries on his five attributes you can bypass "Carta-bottlenecks" when dealing with a party (that can consist of up to four members).

Usually it's quite useful to have a "tank" - meaning one character that can deal with heavy punishment which fights in the front while getting support from a healer (meaning: Roffma - the only[!] character with the healing ability) and some other characters that can deal some damage. It is important that all characters have good dexterity-stats to move freely and to act more often(!!).

Also equipping items can influence various stats (select "Items" in the submenue). Note that some items labeled "Body" can only be equipped on specific characters.

By fighting
Some facts
- Most destinations for the storyline are marked with a
green dot in the mini map
- Most characters you meet have three things to tell you:
So talk to them until you get an item (keys for treasure
chests)
- If you enter a dungeon: draw a map. It's useful!
- It doesn't matter which Carta is carried on an attribute.
Quantity is all that matters

General Information on MC: PotA (II)

Some other useful information:
You've got to keep in mind that you're generally
fighting in a party ranging from 2 to 4 members.
Each one of these party-members possesses his/her
unique abilities that can come handy in certain
situations when e.g. normal attacks are useless or
close-ranged fighting is not possible. Also some
chapters in the game can only be played with cer-

re: General Information on MC: PotA

Sorry for taking time to answer your question
scarletedge9:
There is a specific rythm you must achieve in order to start
a combo...I do not remember exactly how fast you have to hit
it but I think it's about two times in a second. It sometimes
varies.
I recommend you to exercise your combo timing for there are
some bosses you can only beat by using the standard combo.
*extra*: After successfully achieving 3 combos you go into
the so-called "Overcrash Mode" (see the English MC
page for reference). Now hit the spacebar as fast
as you are able to (well....okay I play the piano
so it is not so hard... ).
