Battlefield 4 arrives at the tail end of October, and DICE has recently revealed some of the campaign details so gamers can know what to expect. You take on the role of Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member of the elite group known as Tombstone squad, and have to fight your way through difficult times in order to achieve peace. Tombstone squad is described as a group of "unlikely heroes," so we should all be in for quite a ride.
Events in Battlefield 4 aren't too great, with China being described as a "tinderbox" and Tombstone squad could be the spark that sets it all ablaze. Missions in BF4 take place across areas like Azerbaijan, Shanghai, and Singapore, with tasks involving intelligence gathering, VIP rescue, and more. One of the VIPs is CIA operative Laszlo W. Kovic, who is also with a "mysterious individual" hunted by the Chinese military. That individual most likely has incredibly important and potentially damning knowledge, so it's in your best interests to secure them both.
More details on the campaign can be found at the Battlefield Blog, but so far it sounds quite engaging. DICE also revealed two renders of Tombstone squad members PAC and IRISH, which you can check out below. Battlefield 4 is due to arrive on October 29 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are also planned, but no release date is given.
