Back to where it all started  Retro fans are in for a treat today: Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is now available on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Haven't been following? The "game" is actually two games smashed together: Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (apparently there wasn't much clashing in the first one?), effectively taking you back to where the series began. Capcom claims the titles are preserved as "arcade perfect", but with some added benefits like GGPO-enhanced online play (I assume that's good), 8-player lobbies, spectator mode, HD graphics, challenges, and replay saving. In short, the best of the old and new are combined -- at least that's what they tell me. I think $10 / 800 Microsoft Points would have been the better price but regardlesss, the games look even better than I remember them.
