There are two things that make my heart race when it comes to Ubisoft. First, it's anything to do with PC versions of their games, whether that be DRM of their typically delayed PC releases. Second, Rayman Legends, since I was so psyched to play it on Wii U initially and now I've had to wait months for it. Months! I'm like a child deprived of candy. However, Ubisoft stepped up and announced some great news this morning, like a giant bear hug just for me.
Rayman Legends has been announced for PC and it will release on the same day as its console and handheld brethren, September 3.
Woohoo! Congratulations everyone, Ubisoft has really stepped it up and is delivering a day one quality experience for PC gamers! Wait, what's that? Sorry, I'm just getting a message from home base. Yes, that's right. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's PC version is still going to be delayed until well after its console release. Ubisoft does not, in fact, care much for PC gamers.
Ah well, at least it's a baby step. And hey, if you preorder Rayman Legends for PC you'll get a free copy of Rayman Origins. That's almost as good as publisher-wide PC releases for all of Ubisoft's games, right? No? Ah well, maybe next time.
Rayman Legends will be available on Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS Vita and now PC on September 3.
