Fun times in co-op

It's extremely fun.

Probably my favorite co-op experience so far.

Pros:
1) The fact that you need to stay together to really survive. Also, the way both players are implimented into the story and cutscenes.
2) Sharing. If I create a weapon, I can give my partner the blueprint. If I'm low on health or ammo, he can give it to me. If I find a weapon part or circuit, my partner gets it too.
3) The scares are still there. Being chased by regenerating necromorphs, slashers bursting out of vents, and pinball machines suddenly switching on. It's all still there.
4) The mini-games requiring both players to work together are actually fun, not boring like in most games. At one point, my partner had to defend me from endless waves of necromorphs while I tried to retrieve something from a computer. It was intense.

Cons: So far, none really. About halfway through the story and all is well.
