Good to see some developers providing limited editions for their fans that really impress. This one, the Dev-Team Edition for Dead Space 3 runs at $160, but is packed full of items the fine folk at Visceral believed fans couldn't live without. If you're a dedicated fan of the Dead Space franchise, there is seriously no way to pass this box of glorious trinkets up.
So what's in the box? Well, how about all of this:
- S.C.A.F. Tin
- 8" Marker Statue
- Data Pad
- 6 Peng Postcards
- Med Pack Water Bottle
- Bound S.C.A.F. Jotter
- 3 S.C.A.F. Posters
- 96-page Mini Art Book
Yes, the Dev-Team Edition includes a miniature replica marker statue, which may or may not turn you into a Necromorph. Isn't that a small price to pay for such an incredible limited edition, though? If anything, you'd make all the other Necromorps jealous with your hip medical pack water bottle and data pad.
Dead Space 3 is scheduled for release on February 5 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. It's all sorts of fancy with Kinect-enabled voice controls, cooperative story mode, an assortment of DLC weapons and skins and uh, well, take a look for yourself. If the Dev-Team Edition is a bit out of your price range, keep in mind there's also a limited edition. If you're unsure about Dead Space 3 in general, keep in mind the demo will be available starting January 22.
