Whoever made the latest trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate was obviously a very excitable person. Intermingled with segments of gameplay are some... exaggerated descriptions of features. For example: "Intense Whip Combat" and "Extreme Platforming". Naturally, I wanted to highlight these points in my headline, which had an unfortunately awkward outcome.

That said, Mirror of Fate is looking very, very solid. The gameplay shown in the trailer shows a mix of classic Castlevania combat fundamentals, mixed in with 90s-era platforming depth, but with the modern Castlevania's talent for exciting presentation and cinematic sequences. In other words, Mirror of Fate has the recipe to be one of the best handheld Castlevania's yet. Also, 20 hours long? Yes, please.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is a 3DS exclusive prequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and will be released on March 5 in North America. If you're a Castlevania fan, this one's going to be hard to pass up.
