Things were harsh in the month of July, and no strangers to this were Ryback and Triple H. The two offered harsh words about each other in interviews, with Ryback vowing to "destroy the game, once and for all..." Triple H would answer back by interfering in a Ryback vs. Tensai match, and hitting Big Hungry with a sledgehammer. These two will stop at nothing to end each other. In a one on one match, the two men fought to a double count out, showing that their animosity for one another can't be settled in a standard match.

And with the Eliminators and Alliance tearing into each other, resulting in attacks from both sides backstage, and in one instance, CM Punk and the Eliminators destroying and blowing up Mr. McMahon limo with a bomb. With their final encounter not scheduled until Summerslam, nobody knows what either of these stables will go to to end each other.

In other news, Dolph Ziggler delivered an epic promo in week 3, claiming that he was being underutilized by his own boss and stable mate, Vince McMahon. While he made it clear that he stands with the Alliance, he doesn't trust Vince anymore than Punk. This prompted Vince to come out, and the two exchanged heavy words. While they stand in Alliance, it's not clear how fragile the alliance is at this point.

It was an intense night of war last night at No Mercy. So, let's not waste any time. Who won and who lost? Let's find out!

FIRST BLOOD MATCH
PAUL WIGHT VS. BOOKER T

No Mercy kicked off with a rivalry that's pitted the 5 time world champion against the giant. Wight had control in the beginning of the match, but Booker T fought back once he got his hands on a chair. The end came when Booker went to nail Wight with the chair, but Wight kicked the chair into Booker's face, busting him open. 12:31

Things would then transition to Todd Grisham interviewing Y2J, who vowed to end Daniel Bryan's "egotistical arrogance by forcing him to suffer defeat." Strong words, but not unexpected, given how confident Y2J has been over the past month. And rightfully so, he came away with a victory nearly every week on Heat.

A video package detailing the Industry vs. Miz & Mark Henry played, showing us the intense hate between the two teams.

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
THE MIZ & MARK HENRY (C) VS. THE INDUSTRY (ALBERTO DEL RIO & JBL)

This was a hard fought match on both sides, with everyone giving it their all. The end came when JBL hit the clothesline from hell on The Miz and used the ropes to help him get the pin. 6:41

The Industry then cut a promo about how amazing they are for winning the titles.

STEEL CAGE MATCH
RYBACK VS. TRIPLE H

These two gave each other their all, and ended when Ryback speared Triple H through the cage wall, with both men spilling to the outside, forcing this one to end in a draw. 7:51

Backstage, brothers Undertaker and Kane crossed paths, ending in a tense showdown.

US CHAMPIONSHIP
TENSAI (C) VS. SIN CARA

This match was dominated by Tensai, who ended it quickly with a sitout powerbomb. 3:01

Mr. McMahon then came out and officially retired the United States Championship, marking Tensai as the last WWE United States Champion. Mr. McMahon then told Tensai he was in the running for the newly instated WWE Championship!

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
LADDER MATCH
CHRIS JERICHO (C) VS. DANIEL BRYAN

Bryan and Jericho both put in strong performances, this match had tons of high spots, including Bryan dropkicking Jericho off the ladder. In the end, Jericho powerbombed Bryan off the ladder through a table, then retrieved his title to retain. 20:04

Then we got a glimpse of Justin Gabriel's background, as a promo of the young African superstar aired.

Backstage, Josh Matthews asked Justin Gabriel how he felt about his upcoming match. He said he was confident, and looking forward to the action.

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
JUSTIN GABRIEL (C) VS. CODY RHODES VS. BIG BOSS MAN

Boss Man had control for most of this match, taking out both Rhodes and Gabriel. Gabriel then hit a powerful kick on Boss Man, but Rhodes snuck in and threw Gabriel out, covering Boss Man for the pin! 12:05

After the match, Rhodes cut an angst-filled promo about how this has been a long time coming, before raising his title in triumph.

WWE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP
HELL IN A CELL
KANE (C) VS. UNDERTAKER VS. KURT ANGLE

This match escalated quickly, with spots including Kane chokeslamming Undertaker off the cell, and Angle hitting the Angle Slam on Kane through the top of the cell, to the ring. In the end, Undertaker caught Angle off the top rope and delivered a thunderous last ride, before getting the pin. New Champion! 14:34

Vince McMahon and CM Punk exchanged unkind words backstage, both vowing to eliminate the other next month at Summerslam.

THE ALLIANCE (STONE COLD & DOLPH ZIGGLER) VS. THE ELIMINATORS (JOHN CENA & SHAWN MICHAELS)

These four gave it their all, and it looked like a victory for the Eliminators, until Brock Lesnar ran out and took out Cena and Michaels single handedly, ending this one in a DQ. 7:41

A video package plays, detailing the Rock versus Edge feud.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
EDGE (C) VS. THE ROCK

These two fought to the bitter end. When CM Punk walked out and distracted The Rock, Edge took advantage, spearing The Rock and getting the pinfall. 12:41

After the match, Edge and Punk celebrated as the audience cheered them on.

WWE SUMMERSLAM

Summerslam was full of twists, turns, and unexpected events. So, let's jump right into the recap!

One of the stipulations for Summerslam was that 3 matches featuring Alliance and Eliminators competitors would be scored, and whoever came out on top with 2 of the wins would take over the company, and the other team would be annihilated.

Summerslam opened with the theme songs ringing into the arena, before we heard CM Punk's music. The fans rose to their feet as Summerslam opened with a bout that was 7 months in the making!

ELIMINATORS VS. ALLIANCE OFFICIAL MATCH #1
CM PUNK VS. VINCE MCMAHON

McMahon put up a bit of a fight in the beginning, but Punk gave it his all, leaving McMahon a bloody mess, and after 2 GTS's, Punk would score the pinfall. 6:41

A promo then aired, focusing on the impact that The Industry has made so far.

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
THE INDUSTRY (JBL & ALBERTO DEL RIO) VS. THE MIZ & MARK HENRY

This was a very back and forth match, with both teams showing how well they work together. In the end, JBL hit a low blow on Mark Henry while the ref was distracted, and got the 3 count. 12:41

After the match, Miz & Mark Henry grab mics and say that their rivalry with the Industry ends next month at Breakdown, and they want this resolved in a steel cage match!

A promo for the Ryback vs. Triple H feud airs, getting the crowd pumped.

TRIPLE H VS. RYBACK VS. CHRISTIAN VS. ????

The unknown star is revealed to be Mankind!

This was a very intense battle, but it came down to Ryback and Triple H, with plenty of close eliminations. In the end, Triple H managed to flip Big Hungry over the top rope and score the victory! Triple H is our new WWE Champion! 16:41

After the match, Triple H celebrates and works the crowd.

Backstage, Chris Jericho runs into Cody Rhodes, and the two argue about who is the "true" champion.

TLC MATCH
JUSTIN GABRIEL VS. CODY RHODES (C)

This was a very back and forth match, with tons of high spots, such as Gabriel hitting a powerbomb off the top of the ladder. Rhodes looked to have it won, until Jericho ran out and tipped the ladder over. Gabriel would climb the ladder and secure the title, new Intercontinental Champion! 7:51

Josh Matthews interviews John Cena, who says he, along with the rest of the Eliminators, have never been more focused. Then suddenly, Dolph Ziggler and The Rock assault him, sending his head crashing into the nearby screen.

A video airs, showcasing the four-way feud over the Undisputed Championship.

WWE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP
FATAL 4-WAY ELIMINATION MATCH
UNDERTAKER (C) VS. KURT ANGLE VS. BROCK LESNAR VS. KANE

A hard fought match, coming down to Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. The two fought to a huge finish, where Lesnar countered a Hell's Gate into an F5, managing to score the pinfall and become the new WWE Undisputed Champion! 11:23

After the match, Undertaker and Paul Bearer attack Lesnar, laying him out with a Last Ride. Undertaker then grabbed a mic and promises to get his title back within a month.

An elongated hype video plays, detailing the Eliminators vs. Alliance feud.

ELIMINATORS VS. ALLIANCE OFFICIAL MATCH #2
ELIMINATORS (JOHN CENA & SHAWN MICHAELS) VS. THE ALLIANCE (THE ROCK & DOLPH ZIGGLER)

Cena was far from 100% due to the attack from the Alliance earlier, and while he and Michaels gave it their all, it just wasn't enough to beat the Alliance, who won after a devistating Zig Zag. 9:54

Backstage, Punk picks up the TV he was watching and throws it into the ground, cursing. Eddie Guerrero makes a special appearance and tells Punk not to give up.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
TABLES MATCH
CHRIS JERICHO (C) VS. DANIEL BRYAN

This was a very back and forth contest, with Bryan managing to put Jericho through a table, but the ref was knocked out. Jericho then managed to powerbomb Bryan through a table, winning the match. 12:35

After the match, Cody Rhodes rushed out with a chair, and assaulted Jericho, leaving him a bloody mess. Bryan then took out Rhodes, standing high as the audience cheered him on.

Backstage, Josh Matthews interviewed The Rock, who vowed to layeth the Smackdown on Edge and leave him a broken mess.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
THE ROCK (C) VS. EDGE

These two put each other through hell, but the end came after Edge suplexed The Rock to the outside, ending in a double count out and causing the Rock to retain. 17:53

Cole and Lawler hype the next match, the final bout between the Eliminators and the Alliance.

ELIMINATORS VS. ALLIANCE OFFICIAL MATCH #3
STONE COLD VS. SHAWN MICHAELS

These two have a long history, and it showed here. Both men gave it their all, and after two finishers each, Austin went for a third stunner, but Michaels reversed into a stunner of his own! 1-2-3! The Eliminators win! 13:21

After the match, CM Punk, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, and Shawn Michaels stand tall. CM Punk now owns the WWE!</div>

CM Punk wouldn't hesitate to use his newfound power, announcing in week 1 that he, along with the rest of the Eliminators, would all be receiving title shots. Punk would be competing at Breakdown against Lesnar for the Undisputed Championship, Rey Mysterio would take on Jericho and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match for the European Championship in a ladder match, and The Rock would defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match against Edge and John Cena (huge pop). Punk would continue exercising his authority throughout the month, giving Rey Mysterio a World Heavyweight Title shot in week 1, and making himself the special guest referee in Lesnar's match in week 4, screwing him over and destroying him with a chair.

Meawhile, things would heat up between Cena and Edge. The former teammates knew they'd be competing against each other - and The Rock - at Breakdown, but they didn't hesitate to start turning on each other. During a tag match in week 3 that saw them taking on Stone Cold and The Rock (who continued to function as a tag team, despite the Alliance's desmise, eve retaining the name), Edge would spear Cena at the end of the match. Cena retaliated the following week by attacking Edge backstage. The two met face-to-face in a WWE.com exclusive interview, and said that while they have nothing but respect for one another, they are opponents this Sunday, and that's all that matters.

The Triple H/Ryback feud cotinued to build steam as well, chugging along through tag matches in week 2, and singles matches the rest of the month. Triple H promised, in an angst-filled promo, to destroy Ryback at Breakdown. That any past victories Ryback had on him were flukes, and he could never play the game. Ryback dedicated his match in week 4, against Heath Slater, to Triple H, before laying Slater out and keeping him down for the count. At what point will these men stop?

Things also weren't looking up for what's left of the Alliance.Vince McMahon was fired by CM Punk in the opening segment of week 1, and while Rock and Austin continue to try and prove themselves as a tag team, carrying on The Alliance name, Ziggler and Lesnar have apparently moved on, Ziggler going as far as to say he "used the Alliance for significant personal gain." Ziggler would continue onto a winnig streak, defeating all of his opponents on Raw, including the likes of Daniel Bryan and Road Dogg.



SMACKDOWN

The Rock continued to patronize the WWE Universe with reasons why he is the best World Heavyweight Champion, telling the WWE Universe to "worship the great one, or kiss the people's ass!" He found himself a challengig opponent, however, in week 2, when he squared off against Ryback, and won, albeit after a low blow and using Ryback's tights to secure the pin. Rock would continue to give insult-filled interviews with choice words for his opponent, both Cena and Edge, and defeating Edge in one on one action in week 4 after using a chair while the ref was down. Things have never been more intense, who will leave Breakdown the champion?

Things were also heating up in the Tag Team Division, as The Industry set up a challenge bracket, allowing any team to enter. The final four teams were The Alliance, the New Age Outlaws, Booker T & RVD, and The Miz & Mark Henry. Miz and Henry would ultimately win after lengthy matches, and attacked The Industry backstage in week 4, laying them out and vowing to win the titles back.

Cody Rhodes would prove to be an enigmatic, cocky Intercontinental Champion, going on weekly tyrades against specific superstars, then beating them in matches. This worked for his first two opponents in weeks 1 and 2, Goldust and Billy Gunn respectively, but when Justin Gabriel returned in Week 3, announcing he was cashing in his rematch clause at Breakdown and vowing to win the title back, before defeating Rhodes in a singles match, things turned around quickly. Rhodes would then assume a more serious persona, promising to destroy Gabriel once and for all at Breakdown.

Damien Sandow continued to make a significant impact since his arrival, defeating the likes of Christian and DDP, telling us he is here to save us from our own ignorance. He then, in week 3, issued an open challenge for Breakdown. RVD would come out, and accept, before nailing a spinning heel kick and a Five Star Frog Splash on Damien, much to the fans' approval.

The Undertaker, nor Kane, were seen all month, but Kurt Angle was very vocal about demanding a rematch for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Unfortunately, for him, he was demanding this from CM Punk, who'd already seen fit to give himself a title match at Breakdown. Punk would tell Angle that he has to run the gautlet in week 4 to receive a title match at the following PPV, Hell In A Cell. Angle would run through all 3 currentl champions, Triple H, Lesnar, and The Rock, managing to defeat them all, though not cleanly.



HEAT

Chris Jericho would do battle with several superstars through the month, defeating characters like Goldust and Christian, but suffering defeat at the hands of Paul Wight. Bryan would assault Jericho after losing to Wight, locking in the Yes Lock and forcing Jericho to tap out. Mysterio would then rush out, and hit both men with a 619! Who will be leaving Breakdown as our European Champion?

Things also took a turn for the worse when Lesnar assaulted Punk from behid. The following week, week 3, saw Punk team with Bryan to take on Lesnar and Jericho. It was a fierce match, ending when Lesnar and Jericho attacked their opposition with chairs, and put them through two tables. Lesnar and Punk have a history of bad blood, will it boil over this Sunday?

Antonio Cesaro continued to impress fans, defeating Brodus Clay in Week 3 and the Great Khali in Week 4. This young man may be our next world champion!

WWE BREAKDOWN: NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

Breakdown was filled with plenty of twists and turns throughout the night! Let's see what happened!

The show opened with a powerful video package, set to the themesong, capturing all of the rivalries that will continue, or end, here tonight.

DAMIEN SANDOW VS. RVD

This was a back and forth contest for the majority of the match, until Damien caught RVD with a spinning kick and took him out, before assuming control and finishing the match quickly. 12:31

After the match, Damien allowed us to listen in to one of his infamous speeches regarding the "ignoramous populace that is the WWE universe", and how we should feel "blessed by his presence". This got a lot of heat from the WWE crowd.

Next, a promo showcasing Antonio Cesaro airs.

CHRIS JERICHO (C) VS. REY MYSTERIO VS. DANIEL BRYAN

This was anyone's match, with all men getting the advantage at several points. The end came when Jericho dropkicked the ladder both Mysterio and Bryan were on, and then climbed it and retrieved the title. 6:53

After the match, Jericho cut an angst-filled promo on a mic, claiming that the fans were unworthy of having him as their champion, and they should be bowing down to him. This caused the fan's hate of Jericho to rise even more.

Backstage, Todd Grisham interviews The Rock. The Rock claims that, even though the odds are stacked against him, he will erupt a ruckus not seen before, and emerge champion, because that's what he does.

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
CODY RHODES (C) VS. JUSTIN GABRIEL

Rhodes assaulted Gabriel with the title on his way to the ring, but Gabriel came back about halfway through, and hit a powerful moonsault at the end, covering Rhodes and winning the title back! 10:51

After the match, Gabriel celebrated with the title as the fans cheered him on!

A mock segment where The Industry is interviewed by a "massive fan" airs, which ends up just being them bragging about themselves for 5 minutes.

This was a back and forth contest until Mark Henry clotheslined JBL through the cage side, but since JBL's feel hit the floor first, the industry retains! 6:57

After the match, The Miz and Mark Henry beat down The Industry, and leave them a bloody mess.

Backstage, Triple H and The Rock cross paths, and have a small argument about who the "true" champion is.

BROCK LESNAR (C) VS. CM PUNK

These two men went back and forth for upwards of a half hour, before Punk went off the top rope and clotheslined Lesnar off the apron and onto the floor, rendering both men down and unable to answer the 10 count. Lesnar retains. 26:41

After the match, Lesnar and Punk shake hands, but then Punk clotheslines him, before exiting the ring to a mixed reaction.

A promo detailing the Triple H/Ryback feud is shown, highlighting the strength of both men.

We see Ryback walking towards the arena. WWE Title action next!

Stone Cold then rushed out with a chair and took out both Cena and Edge, allowing Rock to hit the People's Elbow and gain the pinfall.

After the match, Rock held his title high, with the fans booing him.
