![]() WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN APRIL - WEEK 2 Smackdown kicks off with the opening video and the pyro. The fans stand up and scream their hearts out! I HEAR VOICES! The WWE Undisputed Champion, Randy Orton, makes his way down to the ring, dressed in a dress shirt and jeans, title over his shoulder. Grabbing a microphone, he tells us that last week, after he was through decimating the Rock and reigned supreme, he knew immediately what type of match they were going to have at Backlash. And that is a one on one singles match. But that's not all! He's marking this as their final match, if he loses, he will not invoke a rematch clause. He tells the Rock that he's the one who will have to bring it at Backlash, because there, he will kill the legend of the "Great one" once and for all. Mixed pop. FINALS TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT MATCH ROAD WARRIORS (ANIMAL & HAWK) VS. BOOKER T & RVD This was a very back and forth contest, with both teams getting their fair share of offense, and lasted quite a bit. Things didn't look so great for RVD & Booker towards the end, and the Road Warriors capitalized, capturing the victory following a double clothesline. 1-2-3! 12:52 After the match, The Miz and Mark Henry, the reigning World Tag Team champions, walk out onto the stage and trade insults with the new #1 Contenders! They'll meet at Backlash! Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by with the Rock. Big pop. Josh asks The Rock how he feels about Orton's stipulation. The Rock nods and says he can respect Orton's stipulation, and he agrees with it, they've been at war since last year. The Rock then says it's Orton who's mistaken, because The Rock will bring it at Backlash, and bring back his title! Big pop! We've been seeing a much more serious Rock these past few weeks! Is he simply focused, or doubting himself? JBL VS. BILLY GUNN (W/ ROAD DOGG) Gunn had the advantage for most of the match, but when the ref was distracted with Road Dogg, JBL hit a low blow and then a devistating Clothesline From Hell to get the victory. JBL's dominating streak continues! 7:20 Backstage, we see Kurt Angle walking through the halls. We'll hear from the Olympian tonight! INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT MATCH VAL VENIS VS. JUSTIN GABRIEL A very tense, very quick paced match between these two superstars. Lots of each man getting in some offense. Nobody had a clue who would win this one, until Gabriel hit a dropkick and scored with a rollup! 1-2-3! Justin Gabriel advances! 10:21 Dolph Ziggler makes his way down to the ring, before grabbing a microphone. He tells us how good he is, and how he's prepared to defeat the Undertaker! Just as he starts in on his tyrade, the lights die and the gong tolls. The fans rise to their feet, and cheer loudly! The Deadman has returned to take on Dolph Ziggler! UNDERTAKER VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER This was mostly a one sided contest. Ziggler got in a bit of offense in the middle, but otherwise, this one was all Undertaker. He finishes this one quick with a tombstone piledriver. 3:25 After the match, Undertaker celebrates his victory, as the WWE Universe cheers him on. The fans sure are glad to see Undertaker back! Suddenly, during his celebration, out of nowhere, Paul Wight attacks! Paul Wight lifts the Undertaker up - Chokeslam! Paul Wight has just decimated the Deadman! The fans boo as Wight exits. Backstage, we see Undisputed WWE Champion Randy Orton standing in the locker room, across from The Rock. Big pop. The Rock exhales, then walks past Orton. Tension continues to rise between the champion and his competitor! In Vince McMahon's office, we see him, and the rest of the Alliance, standing. Chris Jericho enters the frame and begins asking Vince what the point of having Angle speak is, that he's already beat him. McMahon says he wants Angle to get the opportunity, but if Jericho's craving action, he can get some tonight. When he goes one on one with CM Punk in a ladder match! Big pop! BROCK LESNAR VS. KOFI KINGSTON Kofi tried to get in some offense at the start, but it was futile. Lesnar threw him onto his shoulders and nailed a devistating F5 to bring home the victory. 3:21 Backstage, we see the door to Vince McMahon's office. Out steps The Rock! What could the people's champion have been doing with The Alliance? Kurt Angle's theme hits, and he makes his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction! Angle grabs a microphone, and says it's great to be back! Small pop. He then says that he knows Chris Jericho's a great athlete, but damn it, he's not better than him! Angle then challenges Jericho to a last man standing match at Backlash! Big pop! Angle says he's medically cleared now, and ready to kick some ass! Suddenly, Heath Slater's theme hits! He walks out with a microphone and says if Angle's ready to fight, he's ready to kick his ass! KURT ANGLE VS. HEATH SLATER This one was over for Heath before he knew it. After several suplexes and technical moves, Angle hits the Angle slam and locks in the Ankle Lock, forcing Heath to tap out! Angle is back! 3:01 Backstage, we see Jericho watching on a TV. He shakes his head, and exits his locker room, before heading through the halls. Main event action next! LADDER MATCH CHRIS JERICHO VS. CM PUNK A very physical contest with a lot of technical moves and high spots. Jericho hit a Codebreaker and scaled the ladder, but Punk managed to climb the other side and perform a slam off the ladder, then climbed it and secured the briefcase! Punk brings this one home! 12:47 After the match, Lesnar and Stone Cold, the Alliance, rush into the ring and start beating down Punk! A minute passes before Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, and John Cena rush down to aid Punk! It's the rest of the Eliminators! All hell has broken loose in the ring as The Alliance and The Eliminators brawl! The logo flashes and we fade out as chaos ensues in the ring! Punk grabs a microphone and cuts a promo about how he and the Eliminators are going to dethrone, destroy, and decimate The Alliance, and they encourage each and every member of the WWE Universe to do the same. Suddenly, Vince McMahon's theme hits, and he, along with the Alliance, walk out onto the stage. McMahon insults Punk and tells him he's going to get what's coming to him, but if he's so anxious to see their factions at war, then tonight, he proposes a huge main event! Edge vs. John Cena, for the World Heavyweight Championship! Huge pop! Edge looks stunned as McMahon smiles, staring at Punk. McMahon then says they can keep the ball rolling, right now, with CM Punk & Eddie Guerrero versus Stone Cold and Brock Lesnar! THE ELIMINATORS (CM PUNK & EDDIE GUERRERO) VS. THE ALLIANCE (BROCK LESNAR & STONE COLD) A very long back and forth contest, with no team able to get the advantage over the other for very long. A big spot involved CM Punk superplexing Brock Lesnar from the top rope. McMahon distracted the ref enough for Stone Cold to low blow Eddie and hit the stunner! 1-2-3! The Alliance wins! 14:53 After the match, The Alliance proceeds to beat down The Eliminators, and gain a lot of heat from the WWE Universe in the process. In the parking lot, we see a limo pull up. Out steps The Game, Triple H! Big pop! Josh Matthews rushes into frame and asks Triple H how he feels about Backlash, but the Game pushes him aside. Triple H is not happy tonight! Backstage, we see DDP getting ready in the locker room. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Tensai tackles DDP! The beatdown ensues, and after being thrown into lockers and powerbombed through a bench, Tensai leaves DDP a broken mess. BIG BOSS MAN VS. CHRISTIAN A mostly one sided match, Christian gained the advantage after countering a Boss Man Slam, and hit the Killswitch, but it wasn't enough to keep Boss Man down. Boss Man gets back on the offensive, and wins this one with a second Boss Man Slam! 5:49 Backstage, we see X-Pac watching the show in the locker room. Sheamus walks into the room, a pissed expression on his face. He tells X-Pac he's not happy that he cost him the #1 Contendership twice. Sheamus then tells X-Pac to watch his back, because he's been meaning to kick somebody's arse lately. Mixed response from the crowd. BROCK LESNAR VS. VAL VENIS Venis was over with the crowd, but just coundn't take on the man-beast that is Brock Lesnar. Venis got a tiny amount of offense, but this one was done within a few minutes, thanks to an F5 from Lesnar! 2:01 After the match, Lesnar proceeds to beat down Val Venis and hit another F5. After a slew of punches, the lights die! Gangrel's theme hits, and he rushes down to the ring! The two men begin brawling, and Gangrel manages to clothesline Lesnar over the top rope! Gangrel clearly wants Lesnar! Backstage, we see CM Punk walking through the halls. Vince McMahon walks into frame, and Punk laughs. Vince tells Punk to shut the hell up, and one day, one match will be the diving factor between their alliances. Punk agrees, but tells Vince that he knows his Alliance is crumbling, while Punk's is fresh and strong. Punk reminds Vince that when he tried to get Orton to join, it ended in pure chaos. Punk pats Vince on the shoulder, and tells him that he can name when the war happens, Punk and the Eliminators are ready anytime. Cody Rhodes comes out to the ring and grabs a microphone. He tells the WWE Universe that as the #1 Contender for the US Championship, he is currently the hottest young talent in the business! Lots of booing ensues. Rhodes then says that he's the best for a reason, and he's going to prove it every week until, in 2 weeks, he wins the title from Daniel Bryan at Backlash! Daniel Bryan's theme hits, and he walks out onto the stage. Bryan says that Rhodes certainly doesn't lack for confidence, but wonders if Rhodes can back it up. Bryan proposes that he pick Rhodes' opponent tonight, and next week, they have a tag match where they both pick their own partners! Rhodes accepts! CODY RHODES VS. RYBACK Cody is in shock as Ryback makes his way down to the ring! Cody gets in a tiny bit of offense at the start, but Ryback starts his track of dominiation! After a few moments, Ryback nails Bryan with a powerful Meathook clothesline! The fans cheer Ryback on as he celebrates! In Vince McMahon's office, we see all members of the Alliance. Edge is pacing back and forth, hand on his head, title on his shoulder. He asks Vince how he could even think of putting him in a title match just 2 weeks away from when he has to defend it in a triple threat match. Vince replies by saying he knows Edge can handle Cena and wants to build the Eliminator's confidence up, and then strike when they're overly arrogant. Edge sighs, and stares at Vince before storming out. THE MIZ & MARK HENRY VS. EPICO & PRIMO Epico & Primo put up a surprising fight, and there were a few near falls on their end. In the end, the tag team champions were just too persistent, and Mark Henry scores the pinfall after a World's Strongest Slam. 10:01 After the match, Miz grabs a microphone and holds his title high, saying that is why he is AWEESSSOMME! Backstage, we see CM Punk and John Cena in the locker room. Punk hypes Cena up, telling him that he's got this. The two then walk out of the locker room. Main event title action next! WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EDGE (C) VS. JOHN CENA This was a very back and forth match, with Cena getting a near-fall several times, but Edge also almost pinning Cena. The end comes after Cena countered a spear off the top rope into a powerslam! Cena covers for the 3 count, and Edge kicks out a milisecond too late! 12:29 Cena and Punk celebrate as we've got our new World Heavyweight Champion! Triple H's theme hits, and the #1 Contender comes out and stares at Cena, before making a championship motion with his hands. It's on for Backlash! Suddenly, Vince McMahon's theme hits, and he comes out, furious. He tells the referee to watch the screen! The video shows Edge kicking out before the ref's hand strikes the mat. McMahon urges the ref to reverse the decision, and threatens to fire him if he doesn't! The ref reverses the decision, and Edge retains! Triple H makes his way to the ring and, just as Edge gets up, delivers a powerful spinebuster before chasing Vince out of the ring! The cameras focus on Triple H as we fade out and the logo flashes. ------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lesnar brings this one home! Lesnar is on a roll! 6:28 Backstage, we see Triple H walking through the halls. He stops when he sees a Sledgehammer sitting near a table. He picks it up, and proceeds towards the arena as the fans cheer! TLC MATCH EDGE VS. KEN SHAMROCK A very brutal match, with falls through tables and chair shots suffered on both sides. The end came when Edge shoved Shamrock off the top of the ladder, before pulling down the briefcase! Edge wins, but arguably took far more damage than Shamrock! 12:01 Edge holds the briefcase high, celebrating his victory! Suddenly, Triple H rushes down and nails Edge with the Sledgehammer! Triple H then hits Shamrock with a spinebuster onto the sledgehammer! Edge is getting up - look out! Pedigree! Triple H has torn both his competitors apart! Will this be the fate of these three men come Sunday? Triple H stands tall as the logo flashes and we fade out! ------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() WWE HEAT WEEK 4 Heat kicks off with the usual pyro and theme song blaring through the arena! Cole and Lawler bring us in, and we kick things off as JBL's theme rings through the arena. JBL VS. BRODUS CLAY A very good back-and-forth matchup here between these two men. Towards the end, JBL hit Brodus with a low blow clearly in front of the ref, forcing the DQ. 10:04 After the match, JBL hits Brodus with a powerful clothesline and then powerslams him, before working the crowd and gaining a strong amount of heat for it. Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by with The Rock. Josh asks The Rock how he feels about his triple threat match tonight with Dolph Ziggler and Kurt Angle. The Rock responds by saying he's going to kick both of their asses, and then go straight into Backlash and take his Undisputed title back! Big pop! A promo for John Cena's new DVD "John Cena: The Journey" airs. RANDY ORTON VS. BILLY GUNN A good fight put up by Billy Gunn, allowing him to control the match in the beginning, but Randy Orton soon had control, and after an RKO, this one was done. Orton wins. 6:42 After the match, Orton holds his title high, and The Rock's theme hits. The Rock comes out and gets into the ring with Orton. The two stare at each other before Orton exits the ring. THE ROCK VS. KURT ANGLE VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER A great triple threat match here, with a lot of surprising moments and near falls. At the end, Ziggler hit the Zigzag on Angle, but the Rock quickly threw Ziggler out of the ring and covered Angle for the 1-2-3! The Rock wins! 12:31 After the match, The Rock stands tall and works the crowd, proud of his victory. John Cena joins us via satellite. Cole asks him how he feels about Stone Cold's attack on Monday. Cena responds by saying it was cheap, and Cena definitely won't take it laying down, but he's focusing on Backlash, where he and CM Punk will decimate Vince and Lesnar. The cameras close in on Cena's face as the logo flashes and we fade out. ------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
