Current star vs Attitude Era Counterpart

Exciting news regarding the upcoming WWE '13 video game, as I have been able to officially confirm with THQ's Cory Ledesma via Twitter that Superstars in the game will indeed be able to face their "Attitude Era" counterparts in matches.

When originally asked about the possibility, Ledesma responded by saying "absolutely!!"

I posted this in the roster thread before this was created but anyway, Brothers of Destruction vs Brothers of Destruction is on my list of matches already.

I hope this isn't true. It would be a total waste of space and straight-up bullshit. It would slowly kill my hype for this.

I have never been a massive fan of having the same wrestler twice. Im all for having different attires like I have always wanted the different attires of Mick Foley to be available with all entraces but not because I wanted to use them all together just because I wanted to be able to have Cactus Jack in a hardcore match or Mankind vs The Undertaker HITC.

Having 2 Mark Henrys or 2 Undertakers seems a little silly really when the only difference is a shorter hair cut and different music with Henry and with Taker its even less. Unless they had American Badass Taker in there then the Ministry Taker and current Taker are not massively different.

I will still buy the game and I am still looking forward to playing as the Attitude Era wrestlers but personally I would rather have more wrestlers then duplicate Wrestlers any time.

The differences are beyond attire. They're fundamentally different characters. Different entrances, different music, different entrance videos, different finishers (for some). I doubt a simple attire change would suffice for the attitude theme of this game.

They're really gonna have to make sure when you take a character off Universe mode, it's taken off. No 'remarkable match' bullshit. I don't wanna jump into one that says HHH vs. Kane when he's the world champion and end up using the wrong Triple H, that'd be bonkers.
