careermode Two questions about Career Mode as a manager

I've been managing Arsenal for one season and had a lot of fun but I fear I won't be able to enjoy this much further because board expectations of me are now so crazy high that there's no way I could meet them. I finished 5th in the first season and the board demands I win the league, the FA Cup and the Europa League next season. So I would like to know:

1. Is there any way to avoid being sacked due to massive expectations?

And also,

2. Is there any way to watch the games being played without controlling the players? so far I've been using the simulation mode but I'd prefer to actually watch my team play.

Now, I know this isn't FM, but here's hoping.

I don't know of anything you can do to stop the board sacking you if you fail to meet their expectations. I know some are ridiculously high as in my Manchester United career I am expected to do the treble every season!

Unfortunately there is no way to watch a game without physically controlling the players in Career Mode. I'm afraid it is either you play the matches or sim the matches without seeing anything.

How do you stay in the job then if you're expected to win the treble every season? I was hoping to have enough time to work on the youth academy and develop some good talent instead of splashing ridiculous money around (Arsenal fan...), so maybe I should just give up on Career Mode.

Well so far I have matched the board's expectations so they haven't had anything to complain about!

However, in my first season I was expected to do the treble and I was eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage. I think the combined factors of me fulfilling the other expectations and going on to win the Europa League instead made the board oversee the one slip-up.

I think you will be fine as long as you don't have a disastrous season where you get eliminated at the first stage of all the competitions etc.

I haven't tried it but to watch a game. Select play game and when the choice comes up to pick your team (home or away). Move the controller to the middle so no side is selected. That way it should go to the game and not control a team

I'm with Montpellier in the year 2024 on my career mode and I'm trying to get sacked!!! I got bored of the French league and for the last 3 seasons I have purposely failed to meet the boards expectations in the league and in the cup but they just say "never mind, it was a tough season" every time lol. I've sold all the best players and signed rubbish free agents and still no luck!!!

Why don't you use the jobs feature in Career Mode? When it comes to near December and throughout the second half of the season, there are always jobs going in other leagues. You just need to apply and be accepted and you take over from where that team is.
