EA has announced that FIFA 13 has sold more than one million copies during its first week on sale within the UK.
Consequently, the latest iteration in the profitable series has topped the UK software sales chart, knocking off last week's Borderlands 2 off the top spot.
In the UK, FIFA 13 is only the fourth game to achieve the sales milestone in just a week on sale; the others are Call of Duty installments Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2 and 3.
Video game sales in the region jumped by 196 percent in the past seven days, with FIFA 13 accounting for a staggering 71 percent of all games sold, as well as 80 percent of all revenue from game sales.
