i agree. not a fan of the tags at all and they aren't really needed as the title should give an overview of what the thread is about as coslamp said.

if they are staying it would be good to at least have an option of showing/hiding the tags.

More importantly when a thread is tagged it helps for searches. Over time searching for a certain tag will return with a big list of threads all under that same tag.

I agree that a toggle is needed though, and it wouldn't get in the way of the tag searches.

I didn't forget about Guugley's request for a toggle in here that I acknowledged earlier, I've just been quite busy lately. I got around to implementing this today and added a drop-down box to toggle prefixes in the top right-hand corner of the forum index page. Let me know how that works for you guys.

The solution I coded is easily transferable between forums so if it works well and there's demand for it elsewhere it'd be really simple to implement this in other areas.
