worried this won't be a real TES game.

The graphics are the only thing I can go on for right now, and they're pretty cartoony. I know they can't be spectacular with having 200 people playing at the same time. But then again who asked to be able to play with 200 people? I would much rather have a 'real' TES game than some MMO knockoff, which I fear this might be. Plus I'd much rather play with only 3-4 people who I know and like, than play with 199 people I don't know and probably don't want to know.

Back to the graphics, hate them. Just hate them. To me they imply a streamline walk through play style with mob spawners and breakable barrels. Cartoony character free, characters. Eww. I don't even want to play it anymore.

Hopefully I'm wrong about everything. But I have a feeling I'm not. I'm gonna go cry a little now.

Also, it's a frigging MMO with hundreds of PvP players on screen at the same time. Skyrim's engine or a similar one would be all wrong for that.

Well ..

It's impossible to simply import ES to a MMO .. latency and hardware are some usual problems everybody would face, and the mechanics should be changed, as it would be impossible to play on a MMO.

On the other hand, I love ES, but I'm aware it would be a MMO "based" on ES .. the graphics look pretty similar to me, although the big problem would be the gameplay .. imo

It's online so they'll be able to smoothly patch any issues, and bulk up the core game with new material. I think there should be enough room to play alone. I don't want to have to rely on party play, although I would enjoy dueling random adventurers. As long as it's not too linear of a quest...mmo TES would be very cool, but not if the game focuses so much on being online that you lose the open endedness of gameplay.

So long as you're not forced into combat with others if they decide to hit you as you go past...that'd be a pain in the rear.

I'd love it to be very open world and just like playing a TES game but with other people there, although I don't know if that would exactly work as an MMO.

I think it would work like random fights in TES games...but considering both players would be Human players not NPC. If you can outrun the hostile then you wouldn't have to fight.

Dunno, maybe standardized quests. 'Locate this artefact', 'slay this beast', that could be random generated. You could complete these on your own, maybe more complex quests you could team up with other players. I like the idea that there could be just random crossing of paths.

That's how I hope it'll be! Some quests require you to either be overlevelled before you can defeat it, or in a group.
So long as they don't have a "tagging" of monster's system (in which the first person to hit it is the only one that receives credit for a kill, unless in a group) I'll be pretty happy. I'd love to see some dragons attacking villages and loads of adventurers gathering together to fight them off :3

I think it all depends on how factions work. If you can form more permanent alliances and gain reputation as a party group, then kills would be credited to that group. Renown would increase as quests are completed. I guess a player would get their own reputation points for being part of a successful group.

But if it's solo hm maybe it could be a trophy system. Similar to retrieving fire salts for Riften, the player who hands over the ingredients gets the credit. Capture the flag, resulting in much treachery.

That would be awesome to see random disasters. Maybe more ballsy bandit clans that make raids on towns also, adventurers in the area could get quests prompts and team up to defeat them.

Honestly, I wish it could still to the Skyrim gameplay, but I think that'll be rather impossible on an MMO.

Now, if only Bethesda would work more on it instead of letting Zenimax do it, it'd matter.

Why in the world would you want to stick to Skyrim's gameplay?!? It looked cool and it was very smooth but overall it was too easy, the enemies seemed to get easier as opposed to getting more difficult (excepting a few enemies). I'm hoping for a system that both levels your enemies with you and gives you a sense that you're getting more powerful. During gameplay having a challenge is always more fulfilling than walking through the game with nothing to stop you.

Aside from the alchemy->enchanting->smithing stacking. and archery on the whole being OP. it would be very fair and skill based to fight using skyrims combat engine.
