	Log in to remove this sponsored message I was late to the party with Black Ops 2 after a good 3 months or so break from COD games. I noticed when you log in they are advertising the season pass to get all of the maps, what happened to COD elite and doing it that way? was that just for MW3?

	When Black Ops 2 came out, they decided to seperate the 2. People weren't so happy about paying for such a crappy service like Elite, since the site was always down and things were always broken. Not to mention the fact that the delays of map packs was ridiculous. Xbox Premium first. Then Xbox. Then PS3 Premium. Then PS3. It wasn't really fair that PS3 players paid just as much for the subscription and had to wait such a long time for the maps after they were officially released, especially since they got them after the Xbox players who didn't even shell out the extra 50 bucks for the maps. Now, all parts of Elite are free to any member, and you can still get all of the map packs for 50 bucks, which was the price of an Elite Premium subscription. ------------------- quote Shadow of Truth We legalize marijuana and ban soda? Treyarch weren't pleased with how Elite Premium separated the player base like it did as with Elite you either bought Elite Premium or you had to wait 3 months for a map pack to release, that created a huge divide. Now they know there will always be a divide because some just won't buy it, but at least those that don't buy the Season Pass can still buy individual packs they like the look of without having to wait. I'm guessing Elite Premium will return for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 this year though as Infinity Ward seemed pretty pleased with the system.
