There are no great maps on BO2 and the "good" ones "Meltdown Raid, Slums and Standoff" dont trump the frustration of the shit ones Aftermath Cargo, Carrier Plaza Yemen, the atrocious amount of inherent lag in the game doesn't make things any better.

I hate Array Cracked and Hanoi with a passion I won't defend those maps but I will say at least I'm not spawned and channelled into a motionless enemies target finder, I'm not limited in how many routes I can take around the maps I can be evasive if I think people are camping.

The average maps like Havana Jungle Launch and Villa are bearable, keep in mind I only play Domination.

One good game on Firing Range or Summit meets my fun quota for the evening.

I wasn't implying that all the maps are spectacular but they are overall better.
I'd trade stupid game modes like Sabotage for Kill Confirmed on BO1 but hey...

I would definitely argue that the only poor map on this game is Hijacked, ironically because of the spawns. I don't like being spawned into someone's guns on the small maps, but it all comes down to a matter of how forgiving you are. Generally if I get a kill on an enemy who's just spawned, and then the same happens to me, I'll be forgiving, because realistically speaking, to achieve the fun factor that Black Ops 2 brings that Black Ops 1 lacked so obviously, you need to compromise things, and the map designs (with the exception of the extremely narrow, foreseeably dumb Hijacked) being so small adds to the fun for me, and I can take a couple of bad spawns in exchange.

As for being limited in the amount of routes you can take around a map, I would say that you need to analyse the BO1 maps you put up. Havana was the very definition of being channeled through tight spaces (or going through the centre and dying everytime if you're up for that), and the choke points on Jungle were so hard to bypass it was ridiculous, that map was a mess (well on Domination, with the B flag placed where it is, it would probably be more bearable, I concede), but you seem to have cited Yemen as a "shit one" ironically, probably the map with by far the most routes around a map in the game, and Yemen has never seen a bad spawn for me. As for the others, with the exception of Carrier, they're the safest in terms of spawns and not exactly lacking routes around the map (although Cargo can be dumb, and Plaza has atrocious camping ingrained in people when they play it, I actually very much enjoy Aftermath, Yemen and Carrier, because I think they are thought out in that every single position has a counterposition, and those maps are generally balanced as well.

Overall though, I think we're just arguing on the grounds of personal preference unfortunately. As for the spawns, yeah it sucks, but I'd play on tight, interesting Black Ops 2 maps with a bad spawn once every 5 games, compared to the utter boredom and campfest (see pride rock in Jungle) of Black Ops 1 maps. As for the lag though, I prefer Black Ops 2's lag which is only experienced in half of the games compared to the across the board hit detection problems of Black Ops 1 which I seem to remember ALWAYS affecting me. Add to that that the guns are imaginative to a point never seen in Call of Duty, and compare that to the fact that some of the Black Ops 1 guns were LITERALLY exactly the same as others (AK47 vs. Commando, FAMAS vs AUG) and I would MUCH rather play Black Ops 2. Everytime, no exception.

I don't get the big fuss about Pride Rock

It's so easy to get people off of there. Its more of a disadvantage being up there. The shit-shack above B flag is more of a power point because it's harder to know if people are there plus there are more escape routes for the scrubs that hang out in there.

That balcony on Plaza is ridiculous though its spacious so hostile grenades and can easily miss, there is no Nova Gas to smoke them out. It's a nightime map and because everyone is wearing dark attire it's hard to see scrub/s up there. If you're anywhere near those automatic stairs which is a large open area on that map, you're pretty much toast.

Yeah, it's apples vs oranges really. I'm not hating on BO2 trust me nobody wanted that game to be good more than me, I didn't play MW3 so I waited a hot minute for BO2.

I like the bigger well thought-out maps like Grid and WMD. I like punishing noobs who think they can hide. I like being able to run around a map with unlimited sprint to evade or catch people. The campers can't win against me. If I can't get to them physically I just send an RCXD after them, they're easy to get.

It isn't just me. I jumped on BO2 League Play on PS3 Wednesday and there were a grand total of 938 people worldwide playing it. It boasts extra xp for anyone playing that mode still nobody gives a shit, I think after the third time of seeing an enemy first, firing at them while they were sprinting and STILL losing the gunfight I just put the disc back in it's box.

I will give them to January to fix it then it's going back.

I'm not here to change your mind I'm glad you're having fun my point was to that other dude, BO1 is worth getting for the Zombies, the maps are good and you're not constantly up against tryhards, infact I'm amazed at the amount of genuine noobs still playing that game lol

LMG's with target finders are so much bullshit, the lmgs have little to no recoil and target finder just makes the game easy mode, the lack of skill required with that setup is...laughable.
