awareness vs dead silence

I hope the relationship between these two will be exactly how it is in MW3. Site Rep pro allowed you to hear dead silence in MW3. So awareness should allow you to hear dead silence in Black Ops 2 in my opinion. This balances the game. I don't see how people say its over powering? Dead silence can hear sitrep pro and sitrep pro can hear dead silence. That is the definition of balanced. They are equal to one another. What do you guys think the relationship between awareness and dead silence should be in Black Ops 2

I agree dead silence should be harder to hear than non dead silence users, but still should be at a volume that the awareness user can respond to. I think on MW3 there was no difference between the sound volume of footsteps of dead silence and non dead silence users when using sitrep pro.

No, you need a Dead Silence, what you don't need is Sitrep/Awareness.

SitRep Pro made SnD so much *bleep*ing worse. It may work out in other game modes, but for SnD, SitRep Pro is cheap as *bleep* so I already know I'm going to despise Awareness.

It's really not making the game unbalanced at all. In fact, observe COD4 and WaW, as well as to an extent MW2 (SitRep Pro was ridiculously hard to get, also Commando was a very useful perk).

Dead Silence provides no advantage over other players, and for simply reducing the sounds of your footsteps, you forgo a lot of obviously good BOII perks, such as Dexterity and Engineer especially *drool* There need not be a counter for Dead Silence, because it's a passive perk. It's somewhat like saying we need a counter to Extreme Conditioning or Lightweight in a way.

I don't even think Awareness will be a problem in respawn game types (meh, 4x the sound is a lot louder though) but you only need to take one look at the SND community of MW3 and think about their claims to understand the problems with SitRep Pro, have a look at them, I'm not really all that into SND, but even I can see it's a bad idea.

Also, SitRep Pro (MW3) is really not even a counter to Dead Silence anyway. I have a very good headset and Dead Silence is still almost silent (and if you're playing respawn, it won't matter at all). Sitrep is more a counter to sitrep, as Sitrep users can hear other Sitrep users at the same volume level as someone using Steady Aim or Marksman can hear others not using a sound perk.

If they still have both why would they need to remove them? If they both function the same and balance why remove them? It makes no sense to remove something that functions exactly as they should.

So you think its fair if dead silence has the advantage of hearing sitrep pro users while sitrep pro users hear nothing from the dead silence users? Seems like dead silence just blatantly overpowers it like its not even there making it useless.
