The bus has arrived as Treyarch and Activision have dropped the full Call of Duty: Black Ops II zombie campaign trailer, after a week of anticipation since last week's teaser. Take a full tour around zombie city (Hell), stopping in only the worst parts of town, with each mission becoming progressively more difficult. Plenty of firepower, plenty of ammo, a bus with wheels thick as a zombie's skull, and zombies... oh, so many zombies. Players have their work cut out for them. Come get some.
In an epic nod to an obvious inspiration, the playable characters in this Call of Duty: Black Ops II trailer will look oddly similar to familiar Left 4 Dead characters -- just not enough to be lawsuit worthy. There's pony-tail and pink jacket Zoey, green jacket and camo pants Bill, and... err, white Louis. Okay and Francis isn't really anywhere to be found, but still, it's clear enough to be noticeable. The true question is whether Treyarch intends the reference to be an homage, or as an issued challenge. There's a new zombie show in town.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will release on November 13 across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, then later on November 18 for the Wii U's launch. It'll come replete with a full zombie mode campaign, as shown in the trailer. Pack your luggage, call you friends, and all aboard the zombie bus -- buckle your safety belt, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
