	No one knows.. Lag compensation has been prevalent in console based online gaming for years and years. I couldn't find a definitive answer for whether it was in Call of Duty 4, but it was in World at War and has been in every other Call of Duty since. Personally I don't think lag compensation is the issue as in theory lag compensation is meant to put everyone on an even footing. The issue for me is that the netcode has always been average at best and it is this that causes the most issues. The promising thing about Black Ops 2 is that Treyarch are working on the netcode, they weren't happy with Black Ops and they thought Modern Warfare 3 was a joke in that department so online may just work a lot better this time round.

	Lag comp has been in FPS for ages, if it wasn't in, games online would be a mess, it's actually there to help us not ruin people with a good connection's day. Valve has a very good article explaining it all, the problem with MW3's lag comp was that it was rubbish to put it bluntly. ------------------- jbh is a twat.
