There were very few weapons that did this and I don't call something OP for the hell of it. MW2: ACR; no one needs to learn how to tame recoil BO: Fa-mas; Insane fire rate and low recoil (for the firerate) made the Fa-mas a weapon that anyone could use to defeat an SMG in its range. MW3: FMG9 akimbo; These throw the concept of aim out the window... Why do you need it when you can spray bullets like a GAU? In MW3, the M4A1 is the fastest killing AR in the game and I saw that in over 10 places on the internet.

Since some trolls use noobtubes and that kind of crap in SND, I end up getting pretty mad and hating that game overall, so yeah, saying that I hate it because I'm bad at it is probably all in all pretty accurate, but the point stands that that was not a good game at all in my opinion, based on the noobtubes, regardless of whether or not I'm good or bad. (It really is a shame, that game had my favourite set of maps in all the COD games) HU1CH13 Yeah, that's a fair point, I must have been pretty tired to say that rate of fire didn't matter, but I guess what I was really trying to say was that rate of fire wasn't really a problem in itself, it was something that exaggerated other problems of too much power, and the PP90M1, as an example, had moderate power, arguably pretty moderate recoil, an insane fire rate, and I never had a problem with it. The same in theory exists for damage though, a gun's not really overpowered if it just has high damage, it really has to be a combination of things. The FAMAS and AUG is for me a little bit the same. In my own (perhaps ignorant) opinion, those guns weren't really too much of a problem. I find the fact they HAD recoil was a factor causing me to not mind too much in hindsight, you still needed (very little) gun skill, compared to my favourite gun, the MP7. I guess my extreme hatred of the MP7 dulls my hatred for every other gun in the franchise, because as I said, Type 95, PP90M1, FAMAS, ACR, come at me, I'm not that mad. I think that something Matt 123456789 said was probably true, and that's that time to kill is all that matters, including ads times combined, and since time to kill is a combination of lots of things, you can't blame one factor over others, even though we really do. I wouldn't know what to call what you did, but now that I think about it, it probably isn't trolling, right? Well let's just say that the reason I defend sniping in this community is because I can't do it against others using automatic weapons, and it's not my aim that's the problem, and my KD is lowest in the game that I only snipe. People can believe what they want about sniping, but the fact is that EVERYONE goes better with an automatic weapon (or god forbid, a Danger Close/ One Man Army noobtube) than a sniper. I guess we'll never whether or not I was good at that game, because if I wanted to use an automatic weapon, I'd play MW3 or Black Ops, I wouldn't bother with the 3 year old MW2. And what you said didn't really affect my thoughts of MW2 at all, but what you said was probably true and a bleeping hilarious way to put it as well. You'll have to accept even more than that. Even in game issues are different from person to person. You may have many issues with MW2 wheras i only really see one or two. Black Ops however was absoulutely crammed to bursting point with issues for me which many fans on here dont even accept exist. A third person could easily make an argument that MW3 has the most issues and all three arguments have justification depending what way you look at it. The biggest sin a first person shooter can do in my books is give bad players the ability to beat good players consistently. This is the sole reason I cannot bleeping stand MW2. Sure, other Call of Duty titles have had crutches for nubs, like the MP40 in WaW, the (early) 74u and FAMAS in Black Ops but nothing nearly as bad as the shitstorm that is OMA DC n00b tubes and commando knifing. My mate, who is bleeping garbage at Call of Duty, his K/D is below .5 got consistent 3 K/D's Commando Knifing in MW2, and bragged about it to me and another mate (Who have both played since CoD4 and are both damn good at CoD) who quickly shut him down about it containing any skill. A bad player can consistently beat a good player in MW2 if he OMA DC n00b tubes, or Commando Knifes. There lies my hate for MW2, not in the overpoweredness of this gun or that, or it's maps, or killstreaks. The core fact that a shit player can beat me consistently not because he's better than I am, but because he ran a ridiculous perk or exploited a flaw in the game. -------------------

Thats just in your perticular experience. All of my mates who couldnt hack MW2 have really decent K/D's on Black Ops and like it more. I hear noobs saying they prefer Black Ops because it was easier. (RC/XD?) It just depends who exactly we were talking about. And I dont think Noobs do have an easier time on MW2. They probably do more so than COD4 and WAW but not more than Black Ops or MW3. They both pander to Noobs aswell and for some of the exact same reasons (Deathstreaks, OTT perks etc) I think MW2, MW3 and BO suffer many of the same exact or heavily overlapping problems when it comes to pandering to Noobs. If im honest they are all just as bad in that respect and it hurts to say that. But MW3 and BO commited my two worst crimes in gaming. One is being boring and the other is being just stupid. And with a stupid AND boring multiplayer and stupid single player (IMO) i didnt get along with BO very well. MW2's exciting if frustrating multiplayer was brilliant in my eyes but again its stupid single player let me down. MW2 multiplayer was frustrating, it was annoying and it was a total headache at times I think anyone who failed to admit that would be lying. But f**k m it was never boring. If IW were going to screw up in making another COD4 (which they did) then at least what they did do was big, bold and had all the bells and whistles. Black Ops felt too controlled and nerfed. Everything fun was cut back for balance and that killed it for me. I also accept that my opinion is based solely around TDM and perhaps there is an unknown element there. I mean if you guys played mostly objective then we have all had different experiences. I can definately see why objective modes in MW2 would have been... well... lets just say frustrating HAHA. I guess yet another unknown element comes in with regards to personal preferances. I just didnt like the maps or weapons in Black Ops as a pure matter of opinion. I also hated how Scavenger was nerfed in BO and MW3 and didnt agree with removing shotgun secondaries. I also happen to love the weapon choices in MW2 like akimbo SMG's the general modern contemporary technology theme <-- A massive draw for me. I am not arguing about the ins and outs of those points just mentioning how direct game changes also factor in. You may be a massive fan of over under shotguns like teh Olympia for example, or have an interest in the cold war which factor in to your decision just as examples.

Sniper battles there were proper shot for shot long distance battles balancing accuracy, positioning and movement. I was usually a machine gunner in COD4 (I sniped on certain maps and for red tigers though) and remember going up against snipers in hardcore mode being properly nervous. I'd give myself away trying to smash them through the wall with full auto AK/M60/RPD fire whilst they popped in and out during reloads or even mid firing to take me out. It was awesome and i genuinly respected many snipers. Also you knew that if you did manage to flank and get within about 20ft of that sniper he was down to a lucky shot or a sidearm only. So you'd burst your nuts to get their whilst the sniper did anything they could to stop you. It added an extra dimension of gameplay. Snipers in MW2 were just useless, non threatening twats running around at 100mph dressed as a hedge using a 7ft long gun like it was a slingshot and getting terrible scores usually. used to love havign a decent sniper in my team. now if i seen one i'd know i'd have to babystit them. Totally defused any tension and never posed any serious threat.

I put CoD4 into the PS3 for the first time in a long time yesterday and after getting my sniping aim back, I monstered with the M40. 37-7 on Bog, 35 of those kills being with the M40 or Desert Eagle. 40-5 on Backlot and these are both normal TDM. I was and still am a beast at sniping in CoD4. Unfortunately skill when it comes to sniping is something that's missing from the new Call of Duty titles. It's great that you get it. Playing MW3, I'm passive. Nothing makes my hands shake more than a CoD4 sniper battle. One wrong move and you're going to get popped in the head, lose that spot watching the bottle neck and that killstreak. That Bog game was bleeping amazing. I knew it'd be a good game when I rushed straight out of spawn and popped a guy for first blood 3 seconds after the game started as he rushed out of his spawn. In that game, no-one could touch me. It was one of those games where everything goes right and I got cocky, facing people firing at me from mid range with AR's and drag-shotting them. That right there is where quickscoping was implemented. Quickscoping was a last-ditch shot you pulled before instantly swapping to a side arm to take out a guy that's flanked you. Quickscoping began as a small tool in a balanced sniper's arsenal, and became the entire bleeping show. -------------------

Every Predator missile i have ever achieved has been aimed at the first person i see in a Ghillie suit. I'll gladly miss a triple kill to hit one sniper. I take great pride in killing snipers and especially quickscopers in MW2. Its my main aim for the game. I have several classes set up specifically for it.
