You should. Then, tell us whether or not Sony's managing their servers, 'cause I have this gut feeling finding and maintaining matches is going to be difficult the first week or so, despite what Sony has been saying.

I picked it up yesterday and went thru it a bit today. Lots of challenges to keep me busy before I go online with it. The story mode is wack but Ill still play thru it to see how every character handles. I loved the beta so the fighting translates very well and imo its incredibly fluid. I also copped the vita version too and have played on both. No problems there. I likethe fact that I can transfer my progress on the go between the two which will be cool for my lunch breaks at work. I really dont have any issues so far other than the fact that EVERY character is available from the start (I like unlocking people) and the downloading/data transfer from the ps3 to vita is pretty much NOT explained. Had to go online to another forum to figure it out. Also the menus are pretty ugly as some of the reviewers have stated and the presentation is lackluster but Im playing a game like this for the fights.. Not the menus. Enjoying it thus far, we'll see how I feel once I put more than 2 hours into it.

I did it, yesterday.

I must admit, I didn't LOVE the beta, I just liked, like an OK game. But i felt like I needed to get this game .. maybe the reason I didn't love it was because it was not like smash bros - I'm a huge fan btw.

But I played yesterday, with Cole, and LOVED it. loved to play 1x1 fights on story mode. It was way better to play with lives (stocks) instead of time. it's SOOOOOOOOOO better (even though when there is just 1x1 left it may last for a while .. you'll see for yourselves).

I liked the capability of customizing the characters - instead of only changing the color of the clothes, there are textures, minions, intros, outros ..

I played online like 9 quick matches and 1 ranked match. On 2 quick matches my partner "wasn't" there, guess his internet went down. And on one of them, the "host lost connection". I'm from Brazil and probably the internet is not as good as most of you guys, but I really liked the game, and I feel like it's a game to be well discussed for a long long time, with DLC being released as well, and the chance of playing tournaments (awesome).

It's worthy in so many ways .. A very known gaming site gave this game a 8,0 out of 10 .. it's a very good grade.

IMO you should get it .. you'll play it for tons of time. I'm saying this not because of the hype, but because of how competitive this game can become with a simple gameplay. When you play all the tutorials and a few matches, you'll see how this game is, in fact, complex for advanced players. There is a lot of combinations and it's so rewarding to do a "monster kill" using the special, specially on x1, rs. All the characters are unique (most I played).

You can face this game as a competitive one, or you can have it for a just-sit-n-go-1-match-before-sleeping, if you want

Ok Ive played for the last two days.. Sunk some time into it and beaten it with about 10 characters. My verdict so far is Im loving the gameplay and mechanics but theres a lot of tweaking they could do with some characters.
Kratos is STILL OP and needs to be nerfed. I dont have issues playing against him but he needs to at least have his AP gain lowered a bit. Hes too much of a beast and certain characters are harder to approach because he has a move for literally every situation.
Characters like Jak need an AP boost cuz he takes ridiculous amounts of time to get to at least level 2. Dante's triangle attacks are useless cuz they give you virtually no AP. Just small balance issues. The presentation is pretty poor. The online works amazingly well as long as everyone has decent connection. I love that everyone plays differently and gives different strategies. Theres things they can improve on for the sequel but im satisfied with their efforts for this game.
