It does seem that it's much, much easier to get your rating up in this version, I'm playing on Super Star difficulty and he's progressed from I think 56 overall in 2012 to 92 six years later. There is another player from the original squad at 88 overall though, and there are players in each team who are rated 80+. Had Breuer been a normal BAL, moving to a bigger team and winning trophies, I would have been disinterested. The fact that his team have not won anything and have the potential to do so keeps me playing, although them not having a decent striker is annoying.

Winning the world cup isn't a big deal, I seem to win one every version on PES, but I've only won the Champions League once back on PES 2010

I've won a World Cup with the USA in PES 2009 and a CL with Ajax last year.

Ehrenhofstadt Captain Christian Breuer has gone on the longest goal drought of his career. Since scoring 5 goals in the first three games, he has failed to find the net in all but one occasion in the 13 games he participated in since. Many blame burnout and believe that his exploits in the summer may have something to do with his lack of goals, some believe that his club's continual lack of spending on a forward has seen him intentionally reduce his work rate and productivity. ironically, Norhegha has made his best goalscoring start to a league campaign since 2013/14, and EHS are still just six points from the leaders.

The one time he had scored was his double on 79 and 89 minutes to beat Mrabspor MBP in the PES Cup second round. Ehrenhofstadt had been knocked out in the second round every year bar 2014 where they reached the semi-final. Breuer feels that this could be their year, something we've heard from him every single year.

Christian Breuer was announced as the PES World Footballer of the Year for 2018 thanks to his magnificent performances for Germany during the 2018 World Cup.

It certainly wasn't due to his club form in the first half of the 18/19 season, by his own admission. EHS had been performing to their usual standards and hovered around 6th all season so far, thanks to Joerankel & Norhegha's goals. Breuer had now been on a 12 league game goal drought before December, the longest of his career. He had scored in the Europa League against Aston Villa & PES Cup against Mrabspor, and he smashed one in late on against the same opponent to end the drought. He has scored in the two games he has played since.

About time too. It's pretty hard when every team man marks you with three players every game and your team mates can't pass when it's obvious to do so, but I shouldn't have let it go on so long. But I can bet that Norhegha won't score another goal this season now that I'm finding the net. Typical.
