Just thought I would give my first thoughts on the demo from UK psn store.

I thought a complete overhaul of the game was needed. However they have tweaked and improved every aspect of the game and this is the first time since the ps2 days where I have played the demo and been impressed. Every other year I have been immediately disappointed with the demos.

I played about 15 or so games last night, on regular then up to pro. The cpu gets through 1 vs 1 against me a few times, sometimes the keeper does well other times he is beaten easily. Once Hart was lobbed and he could have easily got back to save but he did the start stop thing and it trickled in. But overall everything is better from last year. Every year someone says "it's back" but this has not been the case for me....until this year based on the demo - its such a significant improvement.

Animations are much better on the whole, tackling is far better than last year. The manual shooting is aukward but normal shooting is improved from last year. I do seem to hit the woodwork more, I like this as long as its not too much.

Scored some great goals, a few good ones with C Ronaldo using the close control feature. As I have not played PES much over the last few years I am not totaly sure on all the controls. Such as, can you do finess or different types of shooting - other than standard square button and manual shot?

I still tend to run past attackers occasionally when defending - how do I jockey and keep my player in front to time the tackle. Sometimes I seem to run past by mistake. As I said it will take me some time before I am playing on top difficulty.

Overall....a massive improvement.
