How is it just a "luxary" improvement when commentary plays such a major part in football? imagine watching the Champions League final or the big derby for whatever team you support and your fiercest rival with no commentary how gay would that be? So why should it be any different on the game? KONAMI say they are trying their hardest to make their game more realistic and reflect a live televised match but one of the biggest things you notice in a live match is commentary as the guy is speaking nonestop for 90 mins straight. How is that not important i must ask?

Lol. I've never once said to myself "Can't wait for the game today, the commentary is going to be awesome!". In fact, I often watch matches whilst listening to music. 	Sorry for double post. I know the gameplay is and always will be the most important factor of the game don't get me wrong i know that better than anyone but the commentary is equally important aswell in my view. Because If your serious about having that fully realistic footballing experience when you pick up the pad (Now I'm starting to doubt people on this forum are) then commentary needs a bunch of work! I don't understand why their so reluctant to improve on it if they say their truly trying to make the most realisitic football game ever? Surely KONAMI must watch football on TV and realise their commentary is nothing like how it should be. It's not rocket science

	My point is that they need to fix a lot of aspects before they consider changing the commentary. The commentary is awful, everyone agrees with that, but I'd rather Konami use their time and resources on things that are much more important than the commentary. That is why it's a luxury improvement, because there's so many more things that need to be sorted first. 	the commentary for me, has always and probably will always be awful. whether it is FIFA or PES. I agree that it is important but I would rather see other improvements made, that's why it is considered a luxury addition. I make my own commentary most of the time and even when I don't, it is background noise that I'm not paying attention to. Like other people have said, I just make up my own commentary or listen to music. Whether it's FIFA or PES, either way the commentary is going to become repetitive. Was able to sneak in a few matches last night against the CPU with my brother staying out. Lashed it on Superstar and felt amazing. I had to play my kind of possession football to stand a chance, be patient and just find the space, unless of course I was Portugal, in which case it would usually be a pass to CR7 and a run towards goal before firing an unstoppable shot at a helpless goalkeeper. He's far too good on this game, he's like God or something. -------------------

	I'm still finding manual shooting really hard. I'm going to learn full manual passing as well. Its not easy but when you pull off a defence splitting pass its more rewarding. Think I will leave the shooting as standard though because will be hard with shooting and passing fully manual. 	Right then, having the played the demo an awful lot, I have finally drawn up my conclusion. Its rubbish. I hate to say it because I'm a big PES fan boy, but it poor. The goalkeepers are still poor, the referees are still poor, the AI is poor, the gameplay is poor, the graphics arent brilliant, the sound is poor. If you compare it like for like with the last Fifa game, it comes out worse on every single thing. However, PES has one thing that it wins on and wins big. It's fun. For the pat few years I've been playing Fifa but its never really grabbed me by the balls and made me want to play it. I've just played it because I had nothing else to do. Back in the good old days, I'd be sat in school waiting to get home so I could play PES 5 or 6 on the PS2. Then I changed to Fifa as it was the only good football game around. But these last few days, I've found myself sat at work waiting for hometime so I could come home and play this demo. It made me feel like I was back at school. I actually want to play it, not just playing it because theres nothing better to do, but because I want to. And that means I dont care that Fifas got better graphics, or better gameplay or better anything else. It just doesn't matter, as all those things that Fifa have got, don't make me want to play it. PES makes me want to play it again. Its converted me back. P.S. I am writing this having just been dicked 3-1 by Italy as well, so you can't say I'm biased.

I have noticed that an awful lot of the old crew arent around at all. Don't see much of Toonami, Stealth (or Andres as I think he's called now), TVI, Gnels, Charlie etc knocking around anymore, or certainly not to the extent that they were. I'm hoping I won't have changed too much from the old me. And to keep this post on topic, played a few more games on the demo, and if a demos job is to make you want to buy the full game, then this is doing its job absolutely bleeping perfectly.

To respond to what's being said at the top of the page; commentary has fuk all to do with football. If you go to a match (I'm assuming you haven't) then you don't hear commentary. For me, authentic match day experience and chants, like you'd hear from sitting in the stadium or from a player's perspective, should have more focus put towards it. ------------------- If we're goin fo' a English manager then why don't our crazy asses go fo' Martínez, biatch? One thing I've always thought about pes - they've got the atmosphere spot on, for foreign leagues. It does really sound like a serie a game or something. The atmosphere isnt anything like English football which is a shame.
