I'd really love to see them back, probably more than any other feature, especially now the gameplay is back up to scratch. Even just with the demo it would be great.

You chose any four teams out of all the teams available on the game, and you'd get a random selection of players out of those 4 teams for your match squad. It was then up to you to shape the team and use it to the best of your ability. So much fun, and amazing for endless multiplayer. Really mixed the game up too, so you could have far more fun than playing with the same set teams over and over.

Random selection with Barca, Real, City and Brazil, imagine.

When they say 'no new Edit Mode' does that mean its the same as in 2012, or that there is no edit mode at all?

me and my cousins were talking about Random Selection games the other day, i was trying to convince them to download this demo

Yup, me and Jon Murphy spoke about this with Ippei Nio and Manorito Hosoda:

On a possible return of the Random Selection Match gamemode. "I liked the feature [too]... we're going to revamp the game next year". Hosoda then asked us "is this a popular gamemode?" - myself and Jon Murphy replied with a resounding "yes". Right now, it looks like the gamemode could return for next-gen PES.

In all honesty there was no reason for them not to include it in this game. Would've taken 5 minutes to implement (well not exactly but you get my drift).
