Worth getting? - Page 2

Well, I don't use Classic or GameCube Controller, but if they did, it would've been a bad idea anyways. What's the point of the Wii Remote if there's other things to take over?

Well, some people (like me for instance) have man hands and therefore get a little uncomfortable holding tiny pieces of plastic in certain positions in their hands for long periods of time.

If I could use a classic controller or better yet, a gamecube controller, not only would I be more comfortable with it, it'll do away with those annoying motion controls.

I never really saw the big deal with NSMB: Wii. Like JammerJaw I would probably have no one to play it with either. Both DS games give you a bit more flexibility, while the console version really relies on that Co-op mode to get by.

I never saw anything special with the original NSMB. It was only good for one run and that was it. I couldn't stand to do another run of it. With NSMBWii, it was all about the multiplayer. If you played multiplayer before playing single player then you would find it boring to tears.

Well, the reason I enjoyed it so much was probably the fact that I was so fed up with the 3d Mario platformers that have been Nintendo's main focus for so long at that point; playing a new 2d-style platformer was refreshing in a way. NSMBWii was a bit too gimmicky for my tastes.

Some of the levels were fun but a lot of the challenge wasn't there and the game just felt boring. This is exactly why I like NSMB Wii better then the others. Every time I multiplayed it was unique and very fun. I even found the single player really nice because of the great level design.

I definitely played the minigames for the first NSMB more than I did the main story but I also played it with a friend. So it was a friend that really made me enjoy the game.

With NSMB2, I was already coming into the game with low expectations so I wasn't really disappointed with the game. I realized the levels would be easy and short and that coins would kind of make lives useless. The game did it's job well and if I ever needed a quick round of some Mario platforming goodness, I'd definitely put this game back in my 3DS. But if I'm looking to sit around and play a platforming game for hours on end, I'll stick to a classic Mario game like SMB3 or SMW. Or I'd even say I would consider 3D Land too.
