Okay, so maybe Polytron wasn't specific when they announced that FEZ was going multiplatform last year. What they actually meant was March 25 of this year. The indie puzzler will find be available for download on the PlayStation Network later this month with a couple of unique twists compared to your typical PSN game.
First off, you only have to buy the game once to be able to play it on a PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. What's more is that save files will be shared between the three systems, so you don't have to worry about replaying the same level over again unless you just want to.
FEZ puts you in control of Gomez, a stylish, fez-wearing character that's content living life as a 2D sprite in a 2D world until a mysterious artifact reveals the existence of a third dimension. Like any sensible 2D sprite, Gomez gets curious and goes out in search of it. The 2012 title was warmly received by the gaming community. So well received, in fact, that Polytron announced at last year's Horizon conference that a sequel is coming at some point -- before the creator abruptly cancelled it.
Grab your blocks and your hats, PlayStation fans. March 25 is coming fast.
