Crytek has come out to debunk Crysis Wii U rumors, today confirming that Crysis 3 would not be released to Nintendo's upcoming console.
In response to these rumors, Crytek general manager Nick Button-Brown stated via Twitter, "Just to answer the speculation, we are not currently working on a Wii U version of Crysis 3."
Talk about succinct and to the point. But what more can you really say on the matter?
Rumors of a Wii U version hit the fan when Crysis 3 producer Mike Read commented that he wouldn't completely rule out Nintendo's tablet-motion-based platform, simply because not much is known about it (beyond speculation). Toss in an off comment about working with Nintendo, and you've got yourself prime rumor material. This being the Internet, folks pretty much just ran with it.
