I am going to buy ffxi this week and play it on my ps3. I already have the patch to play ps2 hdd games on the the ps3. WHat will I need to play the game.
I know there are 3 expansions out already do I need to buy the original plus all the expansions? Is the game still good/enjoyable after all these years? Lemme know.

Update: I went to get it and apparently they discontinued selling it for the ps2. Any ideas where I can find a copy other than ebay?

Im pretty sure they sell the Van'diel collection for ps2. This should include all of the expansions including wings of the goddess.. so you should be good to go. Check gamestop.
