Break HP Limit

First off, there are guides and FAQs that could help you with this, and there are even topics concerning this issue that are already posted on this board. That being said, he's my response in another topic that should help you.


You can Customize Break Hp Limit with 30 Wings to Discovery. Omega Weapon and the Dark Aeons are all capable of dropping armors with Break Hp Limit on it.

You can win 30 Wings to Discovery in the Remiem Chocobo Race if you open 3 chests and hit no poles. Shinryu also drops them 1 at a time, 2 for an Overkill. You can also Bribe Malboro for them, as the previous guy stated.

Of course you have to acquire enough Hp by using the Sphere Grid. The Sphere Grid yields about 20,000 Hp total, so if you want 99,999 Hp, you'll have to allocate Hp Spheres to the grid, you can find about a dozen of them in the game, the rest of them you'll have to get from fighting Ironclad in the Monster Arena (he drops them 1 at a time, 2 for an overkill).

There are a couple ways to go about getting 99,999 Hp. You can simply allocate enough Hp Spheres to the Sphere Grid to have 99,999 Hp, this is the long way. You could allocate enough Spheres to get ~77,000 Hp, and then add Hp +30% to your Break Hp Limit armor. The most efficient way to do this, in my opinion, would be to get 50,000 Hp, and then use a Stamina Tonic/Tablet in battle to double the Max Hp so it reaches 99,999.

All this being said, I highly recommend that you DO NOT go for 99,999 Hp. In my opinion it's a lot of work with little reward, and a few drawbacks. It's difficult to fully heal yourself with 99,999 Hp, as all healing items are capped at 9999. If you're using the Celestial Weapons, and you don't have full Hp (for Tidus, Wakka, Kimahri and Rikku) they will deal significantly less damage, as the Hp % is a factor in the damage dealt.

All the bosses in the game can be easily taken out without using Break Hp Limit, but if you want to, go ahead and get yourself a BHPL armor.

Oh for the love of Christ, it was copy and pasted from a topic that was on the first page of the boards to begin with (so no matter how you slice it, you wouldn't have spent hours "sifting through thousands of topics,"). Let's not forget that there's a rule on this site about posting duplicate topics. Get over yourself, and leave your snide comments at the door.

This is a very basic concept in the Customization feature of FFX. If you don't have any of an item that is needed to Customize an ability, that ability WILL NOT show up on the list of Customizable abilities.

So, in short, you need at least one Wing of Discovery for the Break Hp Limit to show up on the list. If you don't have any, it won't show up, and you need 30 to Customize the ability.

I told you what item was needed for it, that should've been enough. That was the answer to your question. You didn't say "I have some Wings to Discovery, but it won't show up on the Customization menu."

And remember, you can scroll down to view the rest of the Customization list...

If for some reason you have the Wings to Discovery, but you can't find Break Hp Limit in the Customization menu...then I can't help you, because you're the victim of some cruel glitch which I've never heard of. If you're using cheat device, that could explain it, because they tend to screw up games on occasion.
