Every protagonist from IV onwards is stereotypical movie hero material.

The downside to a prequel: we already know how it ends.

No, it really wouldn't.

It would be too difficult to do, and it would be incredibly boring, imagine sitting watching tidus doing all the cloister of trials etc. And the plot is too long and complex.

THIS would make an epic movie.

but not an animated one like advent children, it has to be a real life version. they dont have any final fantasy movies like that do they? didnt think so.

No. AC was excellent. It told more of the story. FFX could have ended at FFX. Even though X-2 was awesome, X was enough. They don't even explain how Tidus really got back. Why? Because he died. Probably screaming in agony too. But no, Yuna got him back and FFX's awesome ending is ruined. We place a movie in there somewhere (or after, but then, why?) and learn nothing because they told the story well enough to not have to have a movie. AC however was made before DoC(epic game btw) and it filled the "are they alive" gap. DoC made a great follow up from a different prospective, and they succeeded in there efforts besides the

Tidus actually died 1 thousand yrs before the action. Fayth brought him to Spira because of the Jecht's request. When Fayth stopped dreaming, their power keeping Tidus on Spira waned. That's about it.

Tecnically Shuyin died over a thousand years earlier (which he did have a petty bad case of "spontaneous bullet hole syndrome, or SBHS "(or more commonly just "f*ck").
