Well, if you want a good team that are very good at earlier levels up until around level 50 when other characters emerge as more dominant.

Eigaar and Blappa make great forwards or midfielders with medium attack, high block, pass, and shot. If you are only getting one, I prefer Eigaar.

Brother makes a great midfielder with insane speed and good pass.

Tidus is a keeper, but only if you have Jecht shot, otherwise replace him with Blappa.

I try to get Berrik and Naida/Kyou as my defenders because they all have high attack but Kyou only starts with good atk then kind of fades out.

At goalie, Nimrook is the way to go, but if you don't want to wait for him, Jumal and Durren are good for awhile. Durren doesn't grow much though.

As you can see I heavily favor the al bhed for blitzball.

True I have Rin,Lokkam,Berrik,Nuvy Ronso,Irga Ronso,Tidus,Ropp,and some other Al Bhed.

I use the Ronsos for easy access to the ball.(the Ronsos that I have can Intercept and keep the ball really good)

Oh yeah I don't have Berrik I have Eigaar.

I want to get Blappa Every time he's free he get re-assigned.

Eigaar > Blappa. You don't want Blappa, you want Eigaar trust me. Anyway, Eigaar becomes free much sooner.
