Favorite Final Fantasy Game - Page 21

my favorite is a tie between 8 and 10. I think 8 has a slightly better story, but 10 has better fighting and replay value IMO.

Me and my friend had this "race" to see who could beat FF8 first, well, i got to disc 3 and my memory was bad and it "corrupted" my file somehow, so I started over and still beat my friend and won it first. He was stuck trying to get Jumbo Cactuar as a GF because he always ran away from him. Haha.

I tried playing FF7 a while ago, but I just can't stand the graphics anymore after all these PS2 games, the game is too boring at the beginning, it takes too long to get to the better parts of the game . I might decide to play it through one day, but i doubt I'll like it better than FF8!.

I also played 9 to somewhere in disc 2 a long time ago when I was smaller, but I got bored because I was stuck on a boss.

My favorite is this one. Then I would say my next favorite is Mystic Quest. After that would be I and II.

What reviews have you been reading?
On Neoseeker, X-2 is considered the worst FF game ever, but it's really not that bad of a game.

I think the reasons of someone choosing his/her favorite game are:

FF VII: Becouse it was something never seen before, it was a great hit for that time and the bad guy (sephiroth) was just perfect.

FF VIII: You could think (if you try) the story could have been possibly real, as well the characters.

FF IX: There was a great advance in graphics and it was a really RPG, based in the middle age with some futuristic things.

FF X: It was the first FF for PS2 and had wonderful graphics.

FF X - 2: there's not too much to say about the ones who like this game. It is not liked for many people because all the main characters were girls... you know what i mean

Anyways, FFVII will always be my favorite FF. Best story, best characters, best battle system, best villain, not-so-good-graphics but everything else makes up for that.
FFVII = the best.
FFVIII = close second.
FFVI = 3rd best.

I'm relatively new to Final Fantasy. The first game I played was FFX and it's my favourate by far. I've also played the FFI & FFII ports on the GBA, as well as FFIV which is my second favourate.

My bro got FFXII but I'm frightened by the free camera...I'll try it out soon enough.
