people my gf is about to fight the extractor boss but knows it hates electric moves sadly she doesn't have any lightning based weapons to use and shes struggling, any of you lot know where we can get a electric based weapon for wakka and tidus, any help would be much appreciated

It's easy to beat the boss if you just use Thunder on the crane and then the trigger command to activate it. I think it takes three shots with thunder to get it working.

You are thinking of the Oblitzerator which you fight during the Blitzball tournament. The Extractor is the thing that kidnaps Yuna when you are crossing the Moonflow. You only have Tidus and Wakka to fight it with.

I'm not sure about thunder based weapons at that point. When it goes up to use depth charge you can bring it back down if you inflict at least 500 points of damage to it. Having Tidus use haste and delay attack can help give you the edge in this fight.

It helps if you go in with overdrives ready - if Wakka uses his reel attack and does thunder element damage it will take a large chunk off of it's health.

If all else fails, she should backtrack and gain some more spheres.

cheers i told her to get haste as soon as possible as i had a hunch tidus and wakka didn't have lightning weapons till later, as she said she had the electric weapon for kimari and thats it coz i told her to look everywhere and speak to everyone before continuing the story so if she hasn't picked up any thunder weapons by now there really isn't any to help her with that boss,

i've got 12 years final fantasy exp but sadly my times on ff10 were years ago so i'm helping her with what i remember, and covering the basics when dealing with bosses.

If she's having trouble with the extractor, she's going to slam into a difficulty wall on top of Mt Gagazet.

That Ronso two on one battle isn't that bad - like most fights you can just keep plugging away and healing as need be. It's Seymour round 3 which I always found to be exceedingly hard.

Not at that point in the game. Rikku is the only one who can customise equipment and she hasn't quite joined the party at that point. In fact I don't think she offers to customise equipment until you reach Guadosalam.

well shes doing fine now only thing she has issue with is that machina which uses haymaker outside Guadosalam but i can sort that out for her
