i thought dark aeons were only on the PAL version of the final fantasy X and the the NTSC version of FFX...

No. I think someone did the math and the odds of beating D. Anima without Zanmato. According to him, it was more likely two win the lottery FIVE times in a row than to beat DA.

Only if you use an elemental aeon. Otherwise raising MDef is okay. Every Dark Aeon that can be killed with Ifrit/Ixion/Shiva can also be deafeated with Anima or even Valefor. I did this, just for the challenge of it (it wasn't that difficult).

No. Curaga uses the Healing formula, which isn't affected by Magic Defence.

Should you read his FAQ, it does have a reference to (magic) defence in the "Defense & Magic Defense Reduction".

Other than that, I can only tell you to test Curaga, with 255 Magic on a character with 255 MDef and then on a character with base MDef. In both cases, it will heal for approximately 13500 (or close to that, it's been a while since I used the SG).

And after Rikku does that, she won't get another turn in before the Dark Aeon(s) cause game over. Mix (and all other ODs) are rank 6; the DAs are fast enough to slaughter your party before Rikku can use... HOW THE *bleep* DID YOU USE ENTRUST IN A NSG GAME ANYWAY? Can't believe I didn't even notice that til I almost mentioned it.
