Fun Fact: Wakka and all people who were naturally from besaid island were originally designed to be black. To follow in the "Jamaican" feel to the island. I don't know why the reasons they chose against it, but still Wakka sounded right with the Jamaican accent any color he was.

Oh, and I'm sure everyone here already knows this but the two ships S.S. Liki and S.S. Winno are named after Yevon Priests or Monks or whatever.

Haha, I wouldn't trust anything you read on Wikipedia as true. that could have easily been edited to "sound" like a fun fact when the intention would really be to mislead you.

I remember reading something a few years ago about some people being offended by Wakka's "stereotypically" Jamaican/Islander accent.

Well, people mistake Wikipedia a lot as being completely unreliable. Even though it can be, more often than not, it's accurate.

Secondly, the thought that Wakka and many other natives of Besaid Island were originally meant to be black makes a lot of sense. They probably pulled away because their has never been a lot of black people in FF games, it sounds awfully racist, but it is a fact that FF games have few non-caucasian people.

Hey, Barret was as awesome as it gets when it comes to black characters, so I can't see why they wouldn't want to have a few more.

Yeah I could easily see Wakka being a black character, and it wouldn't be a big deal. They might have changed it cause they wanted Yuna and Lulu to be white, you never know.

All right, so I've beaten FFX a good number of times over the years, but I just don't have the time or patience to max out stats.

Mainly because I'm horrible at the mini-games, so I can;t get the Celestial Weapon upgrades, so I can't do the "Easy AP" things.

So, I was considering getting a GameShark thing. Yeah, yeah, spam spam.

A couple questions:
Are they reliable?
Will they work with a PS3 if I'm still using a PS2 Memory Card?
If I were to use a '"Character name" in party' at the start of a new game for every character, would I really have all the characters at the begining of the game?
Do they have a Version of Gameshark that does is compatable with PSX, PS2, and PS3?

Haha, well I've noticed that you do. You mentioned it in the off-topic one. I like it quite a bit, for a sidequest to a game its ridiculously good, but I tend to spend more time in the monster arena then playing blitzball.

The Monster Arena is pretty nice, but just grinding for spheres gets a bit tiresome. Blitzball is a nice change of pace.

Blitzball is better at X-2.

In FFX you get bored easily because the games are way too long.

How are the games too long? It's not even real minutes that are being counted. The seconds go too fast.
