Is final fantasy finshed? Coz tht person from square soft/ square enix left tht company, and now theres a game called, 'last oddesey' on the 360, and below it, it says, 'from the creators of final fantasy,' so is ff officaly finished?

You mean is the series no longer going to exist? Well, since (Versus) XIII was in production AFTER that guy left, clearly not.

It better not be, I'm a true addict of all Final Fantasies, by the way, you could also post this in the general FF forum.

Just to clear up confusion:

- It's Lost Oddysey, and its just an addition to the "series." Only the devolper is the same, the rest is different.
- They ARE making more FF's. FFTA2, GOTR, XIII. ETC.

You've got nothing to worry about. There is more than one main guy at Square Enix.

And there have always been other games than FF by Square Enix, take Kingdom Hearts or The World Ends With You for example.

The FF series is to popular,they would just hire a new Designer to make the games.

Well, since FFXII came out after Sakaguchi left (and it was obvious he was gone, because FFXII sucked ass) It's obvious they aren't through with it.

FFXII isn't bad if you give it time, and you don't judge it before you play it, which many people did...

But as said, it's not finished and it's not going to be finished. Sakaguchi basically went and created his own company Mistwalker which seems to be very XBOX360 oriented, and funnily enough his RPG's on that console aren't anywhere near the level of that of the FF series.

FFXII was a great RPG, regardless of whether or not it was a great FF game.

There have been talks of a VII remake after XIII, so I think it's alive and well.

Well, I am pretty sure that Lost Odyssey has recieved great reviews. Anyway, I didn't judge FFXII I played it, and beat it, but it just never appealed to me.

I didn't like FFXII nearly as much as FFX, I'm still not trough FFXII too boring, I'd rather play Blitzball in the good old FFX

Final Fantasy is far from finished I hope.

They're comming out with XIII and Versus XIII as well as FFIV (DS) and a couple others.

They could also think about continuing Final Fantasy IX.

I think it's the game that has the most "open" end. Meaning you can continue the story. Just like FFX had a FFX-2.

Imagine FFIX characters much well designed...Vivi for example...I loved that guy
