It seems like our hands-on with the second episode of The Walking Dead at E3 was just yesterday, but here we are just hours away from the official release. Yes, Telltale Games is so excited to get this second episode out that they're announcing Starved for Helps release the day before it'll be available. Err, well, the Xbox 360 version will be available tomorrow; PC and PS3 players will have to wait for the episode's release on Friday.
Alan Johnson, manager of public relations at Telltale, confirmed the news on his Twitter account. Which brings up a few things I find confusing. Obviously Telltale has been hard-pressed to meet their June release schedule for Episode 2 -- the announcement is coming the day before release, announced exclusively through IGN and confirmed via Twitter. And what's with the initial Xbox exclusivity?
You've got a great game on your hands here, Telltale. A little fairness and transparency would go a long way to build community relations. As unnecessarily complicated as this whole situation is, however, we can't help but be excited to finally get our hands on The Walking Dead: Starved for Help. Expect big things.
