	Log in to remove this sponsored message Doswell Sacked as Sutton Fail to Win Sutton United manager Paul Doswell has had his contact at Sutton terminated with immediate effect. The decision comes after Sutton squandered a 2 goal lead against Bromley, eventaully drawing the match 2-2. The result leaves Sutton thirteen points from safety and relegation from the Blue Square South seems very likely even though it is only Februrary. Sutton have been on a poor run of form recently, not winning a single match since the 17th November when they beat Truro City 2-1. It looks like not even a miracle will save Sutton, would anyone be crazy enough to take this job?

	Price Appointed Sutton Boss Sutton have today announce that unknown manager Sam Price has taken over from former manager Paul Doswell with immediate effect. It means that Price will take charge of Sutton's next match which is away to midtable Stains Town. Price has no managerial expereince and it seems this appoitment shows some signs of desperation from the Sutton board. Sutton are currently second bottom of the Blue Square South, thirteen points from safety with only fourteen games left and fans are already giving up hope after this shock appoitment. Sam Price did give a few words before he met the players today. quote Sam Price Until it is mathematically impossible, I will still believe that we can stay up. We have some great players at Sutton and with the loan window still open so if we can get a couple of good players in then I would say we have a chance of survival. 	Price Brings in Two as First Game Looms Sutton United have announced the arrivals of Inih Effiong and Joshua Banton on loans until the end of the season from Boreham Wood and Southend respectively. The arrivals were confirmed by Sutton manager Sam Price who takes charge of his first match against Stains tomorrow. quote Sam Price I can confirm that both Inih Effiong and Joshua Banton have joined Sutton until the end of the season. Inih is a great striker who can hopefully get himself on the scoresheet a number of times before the end of the season. Josh is a great defender who we hope can make us more solid at the back because that has been our worst area this season. With these signings we will go into our first match against Stains with confidence that we can get a result to steer us in the right direction. 	Sutton Beaten As Relegation Looms Stains 2 - 1 Sutton Taylor 7, 30 : Stewart 90 Despite putting in one of their best performances of the season, Sutton were beaten 2-1 by Stains in Sam Price's first game in charge. The result leaves Sutton fourteen points from safety with thirteen games left after Billericay scored two late goals to draw with Dover Athletic. Scott Taylor scored both goals for Stains, both well placed headers as Sutton were caught on the counter attack. Inih Effiong, on loan from Boreham Wood, looked lively throughout on his debut but did squander two good chances in the second half. Sutton will feel aggrieved not to have gotten anything from the game but can take solace in the fact that they played well throughout. They will need to be at their best when they face league leaders Bath in their next match. From what I have seen today I believe we have enough quality to close the gap because we should be challenging for promotion in my opinion not be adrift near the bottom of the league. 	Sutton Shock Leaders! Sutton United 2 - 1 Bath Effiong 28, Dundas 33 : Pearson 81 Sutton United produced one of the shocks of the season as they beat league leaders Bath 2-1 to close the gap on Billericay, who lost 3-0 to Hayes and Yeading. Loan signing Inih Effiong opened the scoring for Sutton after 28 minutes, heading home after Harry Beatyman had flicked on a corner to the back post. If this wasn't enough for the Sutton fans five minutes after Effiong's goal Craig Dundas drilled home from the edge the box to double the relegation threatened side's lead. Sutton had to defend deep in the second half and were given a late scare when Elliot Pearson tapped in from close range but Sutton held on for a priceless victory. quote Sam Price It's a great win for the club, I said last week that we were confident of getting a result against Bath and we have. 	Sutton Draw To Gain Ground On Billericay Dover 1-1 Sutton United Watt 27 : Effiong 47 Sutton United edged out a vital 1-1 draw against third place Dover to close the gap to 19th placed Billericay to 10 points. Looking to build on their great win over top of the table Bath last time out, Sutton started well with Harry Beautyman twice shooting over from the edge of the box. Sutton's best chance of the first half fell to their inform striker Inih Effiong but his close range header was well saved by the Dover goal keeper. However, despite the good start from Sutton, it was Dover who took the lead, Steven Watt heading home from a corner. Dover wasted two more chances before the break, meaning the sides went into the break trailing 1-0. In the second half Sutton out played, out passed and out muscled a visibly surprised Dover. Sutton built on the momentum of equalizing almost instantly after the restart. Craig Dundas slipped the ball through the Dover defence and Effiong, on loan from Boreham Wood slotted home to level the scores. After that Sutton pressed for a vital winner but Dundas and Beautyman both wasted several good chances. However Dover found new found belief in the last few minutes, Kevin Scriven making two good saves too earn Sutton a deserved point.
